Chapter Eleven

10:17 a.m.

"Lily!"

The moment I seen him I couldn't help but smile. But it didn't last long. After Austin had gotten off the van a girl came off right after him and stood next time. Really close too. I knew my facial expression would give away what I was feeling so I put a smile on before anyone could notice.

"Hey Austin."

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" The random girl said.

"Oh sorry about that haha, Lily this is Roxy. Roxy, this is my good friend Lily."

I could hear Nancy say "friend?" under her breath and I nudged her to stop. She then took out her phone and I knew that message she was writing was for me.

"Hi Lily, I heard a lot about you. And what's that thing you needed to talk to Austin about? You texted him yesterday about it, remember?"

"Yeah I remember, but I kinda wanted to talk to him in private."

"Honestly there's no point, he's going to tell me anyway."

"Roxy stop, she said she wanted to talk in private."

He's going to tell her anyways? What does that mean? Is she his girlfriend? I'm so confused.. I thought this was a date, I didn't know we were just hanging out. Maybe this was a bad idea.

"Lily? Do you wanna go for a walk?"

"Oh no its fine. I might as well just say it."

I just need to say it and walk away. I can't be here right now, this is all too much for me.

"I called in a favor and... I got your band a spot to open up for the festival. You guys play at 11:30 for a 15 minute set."
