Chapter 4
I just stared at him for a moment with, I’m pretty sure, my jaw dropped. That’s so sweet, I thought to myself.
“I know, stupid right?” he asked with a look of disappointment.
“No, it’s not stupid. But I thought your parents were going to be there too?” I said pulling my jaw back up. How could he ever think that was stupid?
“They are going to be there, at least for the first half hour, just to meet you.” He said sheepishly looking out of the corner of his eye at me. “Then they’re leaving to go off to some other party.” He finished with a sigh.
“That’s ok, I don’t mind, if you don’t.” I said with a smile that Jess and Alys said worked for anything on guys. “You never did tell me where we’re going.”
