We got off the bus about 5 minutes later and the guys discussed where they wanted to go. I just stood next to them and let my mind wander until Harry tapped me on the shoulder.

“We’re gonna go shopping, get some food and then go to the London Eye before we go home. That good with you?” He informed me.

“Yeah.” The guys began walking down the street and I followed behind them. I walked alone behind the guys as they led the way to whatever store we were going to. A couple minutes later Niall fell back and walked next to me. I grabbed the ends of my sleeves and crossed my arms as he got closer. We just walked in silence until we reached a store called Jack Wills.

When we walked in, there was a side for guys on the left and a side for girls on the right. I could see a long checkout center in the middle of the store and a row of dressing rooms in the back.

I didn’t have much money of my own so I trailed behind the guys as they made their way into the men’s section. The guys dispersed to different areas of the store so I found a comfy looking corner and leaned against the wall. I was looking over at Liam who was looking through a shelf of plaid shirts when I felt someone come up behind me.

“Last time I checked you’re a girl. So why aren’t you in the girl’s section?” Louis said in my ear.

I turned to him and shrugged. “I don’t have anyone to go to the girl’s section with.” I made up an excuse.

“Well you do now!” He grabbed my left wrist and pulled me towards the other side of the store. I winced and bit my lip to keep from yelping out in pain. I saw Niall look up from the rack of sweaters he was immersed in as we passed. I don’t know if he saw the pain on my face, but if he did there’s no way he could know what was causing it.

Louis pulled me into the center of the girl’s area and looked around. He pushed me over to a rack of t-shirts and began looking through it. I wandered over to the skirts that were hanging up on the wall while he was looking at dresses. I lightly pushed the skirts on the rack up to the front to see if they had one in my size. I picked up a white skirt that had a brown waistband with small brown and pink flowers over it.

As I was looking at the skirt, Louis came up next to me with dresses, skirts, and shirts piled on his arms.

“Oh! I saw a shirt that would go perfect with that!” He ran off and came back a minute later with a pink flowy button up shirt. “Now c’mon.” I followed him to the dressing rooms in the back of the store. He told me to open one of them and when I did he hung up a total of 12 items on the hooks. He gave me a little shove and I stumbled into the small room. I turned around to protest but he shut the door in my face. “Put on something fabulous and then come out and show me!” he yelled.

I sighed and turned towards the clothes he picked out. None of them were long sleeved except for a light green and white striped sweater, so I decided to try it on first. I slipped it on and looked in the mirror. It was fairly light and had rhinestones on the shoulders. I turned to the door and opened it, slowly peaking my head out to the store. Louis ran over and pulled the door the rest of the way open.

“I like it. But you should try one of the dresses or one of the skirt outfits.” He said while holding the door open.

“Alright,” I mumbled and he shut the door again. I turned towards the wall and began looking through the dresses he put on the hook. I came to one with a ruffled white top and a teal lace bottom. It also had a gold colored belt at the waist, separating the two sections. I unbuckled the belt and turned it around to see if it had a zipper and of course it did. I unzipped it and took then it off the hanger. I stepped into the dress and attempted to push and pull the zipper up as high as I could. I got it up to about the middle of my back and then couldn’t get it any higher. I opened the door slightly, looking for Louis, but I caught Niall’s eye instead. He smiled and I waved him over.

“Could you zip this?” I asked as he reached the door. He nodded and slipped into the room with me. I kept my left arm in front of me, not wanting him to see the scar that was forming, and pulled my hair over my shoulder with my right hand. He pulled the zipper up to the nape of my neck. I reached down and buckled the belt around my waist, then turned to face Niall. I saw his eyes quickly scan my body and then snap back to my own eyes. “I like this one,” he said.

I felt myself blush as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I saw his eyes dart to my wrist and I quickly brought it back behind my back. His eyes went back to my face and he smiled again. But his eyes looked different. They had hardened slightly and there was the smallest bit of hurt in them.

            Shit.

            He saw it.

There goes any chance of having a normal life here.
