The next day I went down to the deck a little early the next day so I could finish what was now a very awkward tan. The front side of my body where my stomach is, it's a little bit darker than the side where my back is.
I grabbed my towel and laid it out on the deck then turned on my music. 15 minutes had passed so I figured my skin was now evened out. If it wasn't fully, it was at least pretty close.
I looked at my phone to see what the time was. it was around the same time as yesterday but as I looked around I couldn't see Dustin.
'Where is he?' I thought to myself. 'Maybe I blew it. Maybe he's not gonna come back.' I thought as I was starting to get worried.
I stayed outside on the deck for another half an hour when I realized that I had been blown off. Even though I had been blown off by the hottest guy I've seen in my life, I went into the pool and swam around for a while.
I had just come up for some air and there he was an hour and a half late. I swam over to the ladder and got out.
"Lexi!" he yelled trying to get my attention. "Lexi! Im sorry that I wasn't here on time!"
I was storming over to my towel and I grabbed my phone. I wanted to stay and hang out with him so bad but he needed to know that he couldn't do that to a girl. Especially me!
I've never been the kind of girl to kiss someone in the first hour of meeting them. I felt this spark with Dustin unlike any other before. But he can't treat me like this.
He can't be half an hour to hang out and then act like everything's fine. I know, I know, we aren't dating but still! I thought that we had a moment!
"Alexis!" Dustin screamed.
"What!?" I finally screamed back.
"I'm sorry that I didn't show up on time. I was busy!" He exclaimed.
"Busy doing what? Busy flirting with other girls? Busy being a player!?" I answered back. My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe what I had just said. Before I could fix it though he responded.
"I was busy helping my mom." He said blankly. I could tell that he felt offended.
"Oh..." I said with my 'angry' frown turning into my 'sad' frown. I was over by my phone and I had checked the time.
"Do you still want to swim?" he asked in curiosity with a little glimpse of hope that I would say yes.
"It's 3:30 I told my mom I'd be back home around 3:30, so I can't.. I'm really sorry I'll try and come back out tomorrow." I said answering his question. I felt like such a bitch and I was so embarrassed. I grabbed my towel and phone apologizing again I headed towards the metal gate at the end of the stairs. I looked back with a very sad/disappointed/sorry look on my face.
He gave me a slight smirk running his hand through his dirty blonde hair. I smirked back running my hand through my bangs so they were off the side now.
I turned around and opened the gate and headed back upstairs.
