Cryptic Evanescence

Aria Montgomery watched below the cliff her family was driving past as the clear blue waves collided into a million drops of water waiting to drip from the air. She felt very jet lagged thanks to the long flight from Rosewood, Pennsylvania to White Pine Bay, Oregon; But despite her fatigue, she was very excited to see her Grandparents again. The last time she visited them was when she was 12 years old, when she always had a smile on her face and never feared about the next time "The A Team" or "Red Coat" was going to threaten her. Aria finally felt some comfort and relief after leaving Rosewood, she knew she was finally going to be able to have a little bit of enjoyment here before she goes back to Rosewood from this Spring Break adventure.

"Aria sweetie, we'll be at your Grandparents' house in at least 10 minutes, so try staying awake so you can greet them and then you can rest all you want, okay? Here's some coffee we brought from the airport." said Ella Montgomery, Aria's mother handing her the cup.

"'K Mom, Thanks." Aria mumbled as she lifted her head from her mini purple velvet pillow she had taken with her, and accepted the coffee cup. she had taken with her. She glanced over at her younger brother Mike, who was listening to his music on his iPhone and tapped on him. Sure enough, he didn't respond, bopping his head up and down while playing something on his phone. She rolled her eyes and yanked his earplugs out of his phone, instantly blasting out loud Paramore's "Now"

"What the hell was that for!" Mike screeched, grabbing his phone back from Aria.

"I'm bored, okay? I thought it would be amusing to push your buttons -"

"Dude! I almost beat my high score on Temple Run! You completely ruined me!" Mike cried, shaking his head. Aria rolled her eyes at him and continued looking out the window.

*Bleep Bleep* Aria picked up her Samsung Galaxy 3 and read a text message sent to her from her nosey best friend Hanna Marin.

"hows Oregon? Did u get a chance 2 get me a souvenir?? ;)"

Aria smiled and texted her back:

"Hanna I just got here an hour ago, we're 3 hours behind u."

Aria put her phone down and sipped her coffee cup her mother offered her. As she continued looking out the window, she noticed a young and handsome man with dirty blonde locks riding his motorcycle out of a what seemed like an abandoned motel in the middle of a gigantic field. At the corner of her eyes she saw a blurred vision of a drunken over-weight middle aged man. Aria squinted her eyes to take a closer look at the man, but he suddenly vanished, taken Aria by shock. She stared back at the motel stunned by what she had just seen, until her phone rang bringing her back to reality. Sure enough, it was Hanna.

"Lol, I forgot. Soo wat's up? We all miss u here! And by we I mean Emily caleb and I! Spencer ditched us 4 some archery camp in New York!" The text read.

Aria chuckled quietly,. Hanna was always the ditzy girl of their "Fantastic 4" group, but that made her very enjoyable and fun to be around.

"Earth to Aria! ARIA!" Shouted Mike.

"What do you want!?" Aria snapped back glaring at his honey brown eyes.

"We're here!" Chuckled Mike as he rapidly opened his door and sprinted to the front porch. Aria looked out the window and saw her Grandparents' classic stone lodge. Her pupils dilated as a sign of comfort as her glossy lips formed into a great, huge smile.

Aria was felt finally at peace, as if there was no Red Coat or Mona to torture her. Sure she worried about her friends, but The A Team will never have enough strength to fear the girls all at once. At this very second, Aria felt a moment of epiphany rising up her body, her heart and brain alongside goosebumps that made Aria squeal with happiness for the first time since Alison faked her death in November of 2011.
