After some time, they arrived at the school, which was buzzing with excitement. It was the last day of exams, and students were thrilled, signing shirts and taking photos with their friends. Since it was class photo day, Aaryan's dispersal was delayed. Fifteen minutes later, Aaryan emerged, his shirt covered in signatures. Aarav and Aaira sprinted towards him as soon as they spotted him.

Aaryan, who was chatting with friends, noticed the twins running towards him, beaming with excitement, and chuckled. He took a marker from a friend, crouched down to their level, and welcomed their tight hugs. After a few moments, they broke the hug, and Aaryan handed them the marker, grinning. "Sign my shirt!" he said, and the twins happily obliged.

After the shirt-signing ceremony, the kids finally noticed Rudra and Shrishti standing nearby, beaming with pride.

"Woah, so everyone's here! Anything special?" Aaryan asked, curiosity sparking in his eyes.

"Yes, Bhaiya, we're going out!" Aarav exclaimed.

"Huh, where?" Aaryan asked, his eyes scanning the group.

Aaira shrugged after carefully examining every signature on Aaryan's shirt. "Don't know."

Aaryan chuckled. "Okay, let's go!"

As they walked towards the car, Aaryan's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of all the bags packed in the trunk. "Ab toh batao, kaha ja rahe hai?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

[Tell me now, where are we going?]

Aarav and Aaira stomped their feet impatiently, but Rudra just shook his head.

"Aaryan, go to the school's bathroom and change your clothes," Shrishti instructed.

Aaryan, still in surprise, nodded and took the bag of clothes before walking away.

Once again, everyone settled into the car, and they resumed their journey, the excitement building up for the surprise destination.

"Mumma, aapne pehle bola hota toh I would have brought my phone with me to school," Aaryan said.

"Your phone is in Mumma's purse," Aaira replied, her tone sleepy.

"Aayu, how much do you sleep? Abhi toh hum log uthe the," Aarav said, trying to rouse his twin sister, eager to play with her.

However, nobody in the car was surprised. This was typical Aaira - she could fall asleep anywhere, anytime, if she didn't have something to focus on. Cars and Aaira were a different story altogether; the motion of the vehicle seemed to lull her into a deep slumber.

It was likely that she would spend two-hour of their journey sleeping or maybe even more. After nearly an hour of driving, Rudra gently pulled the car over to the roadside where a patch of trees offered some welcome shade. The road stretched quietly ahead, the air filled with the occasional bird call and the distant hum of passing vehicles. Everyone except Aaira and Aaryan stepped out. Aaira was fast asleep, completely nestled against Aaryan's shoulder, her breathing steady and relaxed. Aaryan, clearly used to it, scrolled through his phone with one hand while absentmindedly running the other through her hair, his face calm and half-distracted.

Shrishti walked to the back and began unpacking the food containers she had prepared that morning-parathas wrapped in foil, spicy aloo sabzi, some pickle, and a few ripe mangoes. Glancing toward the car, she called out softly, "Rudra, she's still out cold."

"I'm not waking her," Aaryan said, glancing up. "She bit me last time."

"Exactly why your father's the only one brave enough," Shrishti replied with a smile.

Rudra leaned into the car, kneeling beside the door and brushing a strand of hair from Aaira's face. He gently tapped her nose and said softly, "Rise and shine, boss lady. There's paratha waiting."

Aaira stirred slightly, groaning. "Five more minutes, Papa..."

"Okay," Rudra said playfully. "But I'll have to eat your mango."

Her eyes popped open. "You wouldn't dare," she murmured, still waking up but clearly alert at the mention of her favorite fruit.

Soon, the whole family was gathered near the car trunk, leaning casually as they ate their breakfast in the open. The smell of warm food mixed with the breeze made the simple meal feel like a feast.

"This aloo tastes better on the road than it does at home," Aarav declared, biting into his paratha.

"That's because you're actually hungry instead of being picky," Shrishti replied, laughing.

"Roadside gourmet," Rudra added. "Five-star trunk dining."

"You do realize these were made on a stove, right?" Aaryan said, glancing at Aarav.

"Let him have his poetic moment," Shrishti said with a fond shake of her head.

After polishing off the mangoes and wiping sticky fingers, they packed up and got ready to continue the journey. Predictably, the next round of sibling rivalry began before they even reached the car.

"Window seat. No discussion," Aarav announced, racing toward the door.

"Nice try. I was in the middle last hour," Aaira shot back, quick on her heels.

"You were sleeping! That doesn't count!"

Shrishti stepped in calmly. "Let her have the window, beta. You'll switch next time."

With an exaggerated sigh, Aarav slid into the middle seat, clearly feeling the injustice of it all.

"And thus begins the great Window Seat War: Part 17," Aaryan said dryly as he buckled in.

Rudra started the engine, and the car rolled back onto the road, full from their meal and even fuller from the small joys that made the journey feel like more than just time spent in transit.

Soon after, the car came to a gentle stop along a narrow stretch of road that curved beside the mountains. The view was breathtaking-rolling hills dipped into valleys covered in lush greenery, the sunlight painting gold streaks across the treetops. A soft breeze carried the scent of earth and wildflowers, and the world felt suspended in a quiet kind of magic.

Aarav and Aaira were the first to rush toward the edge, gripping the sturdy railing that lined the mountainside. Both stood silently, eyes wide and faces lit with wonder as they took in the panorama around them. The usual chatter between them was replaced with smiles and a peaceful awe that didn't need words.

Aaryan stood a little further back, his camera in hand, clicking one shot after another. His excitement was unmistakable-the kind of quiet thrill only a passion could spark. He had been beyond thrilled when he discovered that Rudra had secretly packed all his camera gear for the trip. It wasn't just the equipment-it was the thought behind it, the way his father remembered what mattered most to him.

A few steps behind, Rudra and Shrishti stood side by side, hands gently clasped. Their eyes were fixed on their children, soaking in the sight of their joy and the stunning landscape that stretched endlessly behind them. Shrishti held a small camera in her free hand, recording quietly, wanting to capture not just the view but the moment-the way the wind lifted strands of Aaira's hair, the way Aaryan squinted into the lens, the way Aarav tilted his head as if trying to memorize the scene.
