Haruka Shitomi

KEITA'S POV
I woke up this morning to the same dream I've been having. That little girl.. How her face was a blur.

I got up and felt something in my hand. It was the key..

I clutched it in my hand,

"I need to find her.. I need to see her again.." Because I knew that if I didn't,

She would be lost forever..

I took a quick bath and got dressed. I moved back here to Tokyo from America. I left because my father had work there. That's the reason why I gave that girl the lock.

So that when I came back and we met again, I would unlock the necklace and we'd be together again.

I went and had breakfast and left for my new school.

As I was walking, I held the key in my hand.

I sighed placing the necklace around my neck, tucking in my shirt.

When I got to school grounds, I went to the office to meet my teacher,

"Hello! Are you my new student, Keita?" She asked. I nodded,

"Follow me," she said I followed her down the hall to the classroom.

She went in first and gave a little intro and told me to come in. I followed and walked into the classroom.

Instantly I saw most girls stare at me wide eyed,

"Hi, my name is Keita Otoshi. It's a pleasure to meet you," I bowed. Girls always fall for me on the first day of school. I sighed.

The teacher told me to sit next to a girl named Haruka Shitomi. Her name sounded so familiar.

I looked to where she pointed and saw an empty desk next to a girl.

I started walking over there and when I passed the girl we both made eye contact.

I stopped walking and just stared at her, and she stared back.

The teacher interrupted us,

"Um, Do you both know each other?" She asked.

We were about to answer when she interrupted us again,

"Great! You can be the one to show Mr. Otoshi around. Now sit down so we can start class," she said and I awkwardly went to my seat and sat down.

I glanced at the girl next to me, Haruka..

I saw her holding something,

A lock?

I quickly tugged the key out from under my shirt and looked at it.

Could she be..?

After class, we packed up and the Haruka walked over to me. She took out her hand,

"I'm Haruka Shitomi!" She smiled, I smiled back and shook her hand,

"Keita Otoshi.."

I looked to see if her necklace was there but it wasn't around her neck.

I just shrugged it off and walked with Haruka out of the room.

HARUKA'S POV

When I went to introduce my self I looked to see if he had the key around his neck.

When it wasn't there, I decided to put it out of my mind for now and help him around the school.

As we left the classroom, I received glares and growls from girls around me.

I smiled nervously and walked out,

"So.. Where to first?" Keita asked,

I smiled, "It's break, so let's eat something."

I led him to where the students get their snacks and got out my wallet,

"Is there anything specific you wanted to eat, Otoshi-kun?" I asked,

"Please, just call me Keita," he smiled, "Don't worry I'll pay for my own food," he got out his wallet,

"Uh... Okay," I said and got myself a Starbucks Frapp bottle and payed for it.

Keita got a bag of chips and a bottle of water.

We sat under a tree and consumed our food,

"Where did you transfer from?" I asked, trying to make conversation with him,

"America," Keita said after swallowing his food,

I stared at him wide eyed,

"America? Wow.. That's amazing," I said.

Keita finished the rest of his chips, throwing away the bag,

"Not really, I had to be separated from my best friend for 10 years," he said walking back to me.

I stood up and looked at him with pity,

"I'm really sorry about that," I said and out my drink away.

"It's okay. Because when I heard we were coming back to Japan, I promised that I would find her," he said.

I saw him ball his fist. Maybe I should take him to the roof,

"Why don't you come with me to the roof during lunch? It's my favorite place for some peace and quiet," I said smiling, "The view is beautiful as well,"

Keita smiled back,

"Sure..!"

KEITA'S POV

After break we went back to class.

Haruka and I sat down as we waited for the teacher.

I looked to Haruka and smiled, she smiled back.

I couldn't help but compare her to the girl in my dreams..
