The Roof

HARUKA'S POV
After our last classes, I walked out into the hallway and saw Keita waiting for me.

I walked up to him and smiled, and he smiled back.

I could already feel the dark aura behind me as we started our walk to the roof of the building.

We both walked in awkward silence as we walked up the staircase.

I cleared my throat trying to think of a conversation to start with him,

"K-Keita-kun.. So.. How is it like.. In America..?" I nervously asked.

He had a look of thought for a moment until he said,

"It's pretty awesome.." He smiled at me.

A faint think of pink came to my cheeks as I tried very hard to avoid eye contact.

Why? Why do I feel so.. Nervous?

We stopped at the door to the roof.

I had the key, so I unlocked it.

When I opened it, a breeze came in knocked me over a bit.

I fell..

But Keita caught me..

"O-Oh! I-I'm so sorry about that!" I said quickly composing myself.

He chuckled, "Don't worry about it, and if I didn't catch you, you would've fallen down the stairs.."

He said this while looking down the steep staircase at the corner of his eye.

Yeah.. That would've been a painful one..

We both stalled outside, the view beautiful as always..

For some reason, my hand grabbed Keita's and held it.

We both looked at our hands,

I blushed, "I-I.. Uh.."

"It's fine, I kinda reached out for yours as well," he smiled.

I looked away..

"Let's just stay like this for a while.." He said and intertwined our fingers.

My face became so blushy..

I couldn't look at him!

KEITA AND HARUKA'S POV
Something about her/him

No, just her/him herself/himself

It's like she/he was the one I/that made
the promise to (me) that day..

But she/he couldn't be..

.....
Right..?
