I was throwing clothes all over the floor trying to find my bikini because my sister invited me to go with to matts house for a cookout and I had to leave in ten minutes, the bedroom door opened and Zander looked around at the mess.

"I know I'll clean it up before I leave I promise"

"where are you going?"

"Oh with my sister to a cookout, you're home early how was work?"

"Not bad and thanks for the lunch, so where is this cookout?"

"At matts and his wife's place, do you want to go?" I could tell he was thinking then he shook his head

"no I'll stay here I'm kinda tired "

"but I want you to go"

"who's going to be there?"

I shrugged my shoulders "the guys and I don't know who else" I said shoving essentials into my bag

"oh so Brian will be there"

"I'd assume so" he plopped down on the bed

"go figure no surprise "

"Zander please don't start"

"start what?"

"You know what "

"it's whatever nova I don't care "

"why do you hate him so much? Just from him giving me a ride home?"

"Is that all he's doing? Because you've been gone a lot"

my jaw dropped "I married you for a reason..... How can you think that?"

"You're with them a lot and I've seen the way he acts towards you, I'm a guy I know when a guy likes a woman!"

"Do not... Ever raise your voice to me, I've been nothing but a good wife to you for the last three years"

"why don't you just go and be with your friends"

"no I don't want to leave until we resolve this I don't like fighting come on"

"I don't like the guy!"

"You don't have a reason to not like him "

"why are you sticking up for him?"

"He's a good guy he knows I'm married for crying out loud and he's my friend "

"just go I'm done with this there's nothing to talk about goodbye "

in a way I was mad at him I didn't want anything more than to leave and go have fun with my friends, I got to Matts and finally got to meet his wife Ally who was awesome we got along great we were talking as we set up the tables where the food was going to be then Brian walked out. He was talking with the guys drinking beer and occasionally I'd see him look at me and smile, I continued doing what I was doing. My phone kept going off with messages from Zander but I ignored them because he clearly wasn't in his right state of mind, I was laying on a chair soaking up the sun when someone sat next to me.

"Hey, everything okay?"

"Oh hey Brian yeah why?" 

"You just look sad and you're sitting over here alone"

"no I'm fine thanks, just enjoying the sun is all"

" I guess you could use some of the sunshine I mean you're pretty white" he joked s playfully smacked his arm as I laughed
