Chapter 7

I woke up abruptly by the sound of my alarm. I rubbed my eyes as I went to turn off the obnoxious thing. It was 7:15 am on a Monday morning and that meant one thing. My dad was back from his business trip. And if my dad was home, that meant Ashton wouldn't be able to sneak in anymore. I walked to the kitchen to see my dad cooking something on the stove. Just as I was about to hug him he turned around. "Jesus Liz, you scared me." I hugged him and he returned it. "Was everything alright when I was away?" he continued. "Yeah everything was just fine" I sighed.

My dad placed a plate of scrambled eggs on the table and as he sat down to eat he said, "Well it doesn't sound like everything went ok". I let out a shaky breath and said, "Everything's fine I just missed you" then began to head out the kitchen door. "If something is going on you know you can talk me." he tried to reassure me but I just continued to walk away. "Oh, by the way," I said while leaning by the door frame, "Harry left a package in your study." and with that I made my way upstairs to get ready for school.

Everyone at school was buzzing about how good Perrie's party was on Friday. Apparently it was one of the best parties in the school year thus far. I kind of regret leaving early now. 

I was sitting at the lunch table once again with Dani, Perrie and El, yet again bored out of my mind as they gossiped about who hooked up with who and who cheated on who at Perrie's party. As I was about to get up and leave lunch early, someone put their lunch tray on our table and sat down in between El and I. I looked up just to see a good looking guy with shaggy light brown hair and vivid blue eyes. He smiled down at me before sitting down and leaning towards Eleanor placing a small peck on her cheek. She was startled at first but when she realized who it was her smile only growing wider. I've never seen this guy around so I'm not exactly sure how El knew him. The other girls didn't seem so surprised by him though.

"I'm Louis. Eleanor's boyfriend" the guy said nicely while extending his hand out to shake mine. I kindly shook it and introduced myself. "He just transferred here. He wanted to spend more time with me. Isn't he so cute?" Eleanor said giving him a quick kiss on the lips. Perrie let out a groan saying, "Get a room". Eleanor flipped her off while Louis just chuckled. The girls soon returned to their conversation and Louis made some small talk with me until lunch was over and we all parted ways.

The rest of the day went by agonizingly slow but eventually the clock stroke 3:00 and we were all let out of this prison. I was about to make my little trek back home when a car pulled up next to me. The window rolled down and I came face to face with the one and only Harry. "Want a ride?" he said with that dimpled smile of his. "Did my dad send you?" I asked because knowing my father he would be the one to send someone to pick me up. Leave it up to him to treat me like a little girl. 

"Maybe" he said his smirk only getting bigger. "Of course" I say with a chuckle and playful eye roll. "So, what do you say? Will you, Lisette Mathews, do me the honor of letting me give you a ride home?" he asked dramatically. I laughed and pretended to ponder the question. "Hmm...no" I said casually and picked up my pace. The shock on his face was evident and his expression was priceless. I just couldn't contain my laughter. "Come on please. I'll buy you food." I would've made him beg a bit longer but I was quite hungry and if Harry was willing to pay for my food then I was sold. 

"Fine" I said hopping into the car. Harry grinned knowing he won that argument and began driving a bit faster. "So what do you want to eat?" he asked. "Well I'm new to the area so just take me wherever you think the food is good" I replied. "Great. I know just the place".

We sat at a table in some old diner which was basically empty. It looked kind of sketchy to me but Harry claimed the food was really good. Since Harry seemed to know the place very well, I let him order for the both of us so that I wouldn't waste time looking through the menu.
