Every Saturday night, the dormitories have a party on the football field. Naya texts me. "Are you going to the party?" "I don't know. Everett kinda came onto me in the dressing room earlier and that kinda made me uncomfy." "Just come. We'll show him not to mess with you." "I guess I'll come. I'll probably eat all the food." "Great! Maybe Everett will be different. Maybe he just likes you." "Maybe I gave him the wrong idea." "Okay, we'll see tonight. You better dress hot." " 'Kay. Bye." "Bye."

Cade and Bella are making out on his bed, so  I decide to take a shower. The warm water traces my skin, like a pen writing on a piece of paper. I wash my hair and body and turn off the water.  I dry my face and body, and then I somewhat do my hair. I get into a yellow and black striped tank top, black shorts, and bright yellow Vans. I walk out, put my dirty clothes away and go to the football field for the party.

~

I walk through the gate to the field and people are everywhere. Pop music is blasting from the speakers and I see so many people drinking. "Naya!", I yell over the music. "Hey, bitch!", she yells at me with a beer in her hand. "You're underage. You shouldn't be drinking." "We all are! The teachers won't care. WOOH!" "Where's Everett?"  "He's...right over there looking at us." I turn and see him drinking a beer, staring at me. Fuck. I probably look really hot right now. "You look worried, Darren. Kiss me, right now!", she says as she pushes her lips on mine, causing me to be in shock. But I realized it's to make Everett jealous, so I kiss her back. Everett does look good in his blue sweatshirt that's pressing against his chest and abs and I'm over thinking this. I need a beer. I grab a beer from the cooler. Yay! Underage alcohol consumption! I start partying with Naya and the drinking starts to increase. My vision is so blurry and I'm on the field laughing with Naya. We are so drunk! Everett comes to our rescue. "Are you guys okay? Can you get up?" "Yeaaa, we c-c-can.", I say grabbing Naya's hand and stand up, ultimately falling down. A guy, I think Brady, picks up Naya. Everett picks me up and leans me on his shoulder. "I'm s-ssoooo drunk.", I say stumbling and holding onto Everett. "Yes, you are." "C-c-can I sleep in yourrrr bed?", I slur, poking his chest with my finger. "Sure, why not again?" We enter his room and I run to the bathroom, slamming open the bathroom door. The chunks of vomit escape my mouth and into the toilet, giving me relief that I'm getting this out of my system. I wipe my mouth with toilet paper and hold myself wearily. Everett picks me up over his shoulder, puts me on his bed, and shelters me with a soft, warm blanket. "Okay, let's go to bed.", he says, undressing himself and climbing into the bed, covering me with his arms.  "Mmhmm.", I mumble as I pass out from drunkenness.

Never drinking again!

~

My eyes flutter open and I sit up in what looks like Everett's bed. What even happened last night and why do I feel like a complete wreck? Everett is asleep next to me and looks really cute. I check my phone and all my messages are drunk texts from Naya. "Sup bitch!" "Where are you?" "A strange boy brought me to his room." "Did you and E become friends again?" "I'm piss drunk goodnight!".    I lay down and get back in the position I was in, which was in Everett's arms. He's warm and big and cuddly. His roommate Tyler isn't here, so it's me and Everett and this little ole' room. Did I just? Everett starts to wake up and gets up from the bed. He's dressed in only a pair of navy blue shorts that are imprinted with the yellow logo "Go Titans Football!". "Heyyyy!", I mutter, wanting to rip my brain out due to the ongoing headache I have. "Hi! You were really drunk last night." "Yea...about that." "Do you want me to get you tea or coffee from the lounge?" "I want apple juice, please and thank you!" "I'll check if they have apple juice.", he says, putting apple juice in air quotes. He exits the room and I start looking through his stuff. He has like ten sport trophies. He has three academic plaques. Boring. I go on his phone and look through his texts, the ones with his dad. It says: "Did anyone find out yet, Ev?" "No, dad, I'm fine. Nobody's gonna know." "Good. Stay safe and be ready." I turn off his phone when I hear Everett comes in. "Here's your apple juice!", he gives me the juice and i drink it all in five seconds, while he's only taken a sip of his coffee. "I feel like trash.", I complain. "You're not trash. You're a masterpiece. Everyone is." "Well I'm a trashterpiece!", I shout at him, lying my head on his lap. "I need a hug.", I pout. "Come on my lap." I sit on his lap and he wraps his big arms around me pushing me on his bed, causing us both to laugh for a couple minutes. I need clothes, but I don't want to go to my room. "You should change into new clothes.", Everett says. "Can I wear something of yours?" "I guess." He hands me a large, pullover sweatshirt and it's really warm. He, then, hands me a pair of shorts that are really small to fit me. "These aren't yours." "They were, when I was 13." "Wow. I'm a small person." "But you're my small person.", he says hugging me, so I hug back into his taller, bigger, warmer goodness. My head is buried into his chest and I smell it. He smells exactly like a fresh batch of chocolaty brownies from the steaming oven. "Why do you smell like brownies?", I question him because no person in the world can smell like brownies. "It's my cologne, Big Buff Brownie. When you start smelling like a brownie, people will want to eat you!", he exclaims with a goofy grin. I burst out laughing and fall on his bed in joyful tears. He stands over me and asks," Are you done laughing?" "For now." He pulls me up and we walk to Brady's room. "Darren, I want you to come to the football game tonight and cheer for me." "Okay, but why is the game on a Sunday?" "This school's a little different. Don't you catch on?" "We're all a little different. But mostly this school is." Everett knocks on the door. Brady opens it in nothing but his underwear. Naya is laying in his bed. "Looks like we both got to sleep with girls last night. ", Brady says to Everett. I pinch the bridge of my nose because I'm already mad. And I'm too nervous to speak up. "He's not a girl, Brady." "Well, he's the girl in the relationship." "Even if he was the quote-on-quote girl in the relationship, doesn't mean you get to call him one!", Naya says getting up from the bed and putting on a crop top and shorts. "They both identify as males, so don't fucking call them girls. Don't call anyone a girl, unless they identify as a female. Good? Good!", she says walking out of the room and motioning us to follow. "See you tonight, Everson!", Brady yells at us from his room. "Fuck him, honestly.", Naya mutters sassily,"He's such a prick and fyi, I did fuck him last night because I felt sorry for that sack of....well, nothing is actually in his sack, if you know what I mean."   I'm still in awe of what happened. "Thanks for the help, Ny.", Everett says. "You're welcome, Ev. Any day to keep the pricks away." "You're so badass!", I manage to speak. "Thanks, but my ass is badder than I am!" "What do you-", I ask stupidly, but then I realized it. Shit! We enter the lounge and we all sit on the big, blue couch. Everett's in the middle, Naya's on his right, and I'm on his left. This probably means something. What if Naya and I have to fight for Everett. Like the Bachelorette. But bisexual. Forget it. We watch the tv and I notice how Everett put his arms around the both of us. The news is on and it's basically all about stupid politics. "Change the channel." He turns on MTV and Teen Wolf is on. I love this show. I wish it were real. I lean my head on Everett's shoulder and so does Naya. I roll my eyes at her, but they don't notice my aggravation. "Turns the news back on.", Naya demands," I'll give you something good tonight!" She gives him a big kiss and walks to her room. "What about the news?", I ask, but she's already gone.

"NEWS REPORT: This is Lita DaViva on Channel 7 News. There has been a dead body in Creed Bay. It looks like it has been ravaged by an animal or wolf. The body was identified as 17 year old Topher Marcus, a student at Van Buren High School. His parents did not want to be interviewed. Stay aware of your surroundings." "What the fuck? There's a dead body in town!" "That's insane.", Everett says tranquilly. "You don't care? It's an innocent person!" "I didn't know them." "I'm gonna go to my room for the night. I'll see you  at the game tonight.", I tell him, giving him a hug. His hugs are like a cloud smothering my body. I get to my room and lay down in my bed, nice and warm in Everett's hoodie. How can he not care about the dead body?  My phone rings  and  it's Naya. "Sit with me and Cade at the game tonight." "Okay." "And tomorrow after class, you, Everett, Bella, Cade, Brady, and I are going on a group hunt in the woods." "What's a-?" She hung up. Why is Naya so crazy? Now, should I change for the game? I'll wear Everett's sweatshirt and shorts to show my pride for him.

Cade and I walk to the bleachers and sit with Naya. The cheerleaders are practicing their routine and the band is waiting quietly to be conducted. Allie and Riley are in the band. Marco, Everett, Brady, and Lars are on the football team. Bella, Kelly, and Sheila are on the cheerleading squad. Everett looks so fucking cute in his football uniform. He's #9, which is coincidentally my favorite number. The game starts and the sweaty footballers start to play. They run swiftly across the wet, green field. I watch Brady pass the ball to Everett who makes the touchdown. I stand up and cheer for them since they are winning by a lot of points. The game ends and it starts to rain. That's when the vision hits me.
