Dan might have blushed at the sudden touch if he wasn't ya know, dead. I want to get to discover this boy for all he's worth and accept him for everything. It seems foolish to trust a vampire, but my logical mind melted away every time I gazed into his eyes.

He looked startled, yet pleased at my sudden grasp of his hand. But I didn't care. Just touching him made it feel like this was normal and okay.

"Well for starters, I'm three hundred years old." He trailed on "and I was bitten at 23 by a random vampire that didn't even bother to suck out the venom like I did to you. Suppose he's not caring like me and also didn't catch such a handsome specimen..."

I nodded to show I was following what he said until I realized the last part. My face was probably beet red. Was he hitting on me?

"To survive I have to feast on the blood of humans. I'm guessing you already knew that." he said, gesturing to the puncture wounds in my neck. Oh, I forgot about those. The embrace of his skin made me warm and distracted, even though his skin was ice cold.

"I know what vampires are. But why me?" I asked, just wanting to jump to the point and see if his answer for the same reason I queried.

"After I saw who I had bitten, I realized how beautiful you are. I've never known love before until I looked into your eyes." He whispered, seeming nervous as though as was the one with fangs to hurt him.

"I felt the same way. All of a sudden when you showed up, I wasn't scared anymore. I was excited to see you. The vampire thing doesn't bother me, as long are you're you. That's what matters to me. I've never been one to rush things but I can tell we were meant for each other. " I stammered, wondering why I was doing this. Is he controlling me or am I just this illogical normally?
