Chapter 4

Kayla's P.O.V.

I woke up the next day thanks to Sparkle pulling my hair. I found myself sleeping at the stable with a little boy beside me. The apple he gave me last night was still in my hand though. ''I see you found my little brother.'' I looked up and saw Tristan leaning on the wall of the stable crossing his arms. ''Where did you go last night? You even skip dinner.'' 

''Skip dinner?!?! Skip dinner?! Do you know that when I got downstairs there wasn't a single whatever you call dinner left?! I ran here and your little brother found me and gave me this apple! How could a little angel be a little brother of a monster like you?!'' I stood up carefully not to let Tristan's brother fall and stomped off.

I couldn't believe that guy. Why did I ever end up here anyways? Oh no. A sudden thought just hit me that it was a Thursday and there was school! I completely forgotten! I ran to the house and to me and Hayley's sharing room to find Hayley. 

''Hayley!'' I entered the room sweating all over and feeling all sticky. Eew.

''Hey Kays. I'm off to school and yay! You're following me! Okay, at Saint Peter's you have to wear uniforms. Haha I know, uniforms are for suckas. So, here it is. Oh and you can borrow my knee-length sock until you buy a new one and my extra pair of black shoes. Oh and your hair has to be either tied, or let down loose but in a tidy position. Got it? And here's your bag! packed everything for ya! Get change and hurry! I'll be at the gate with Tristan!'' and she took her bag and rushed off to the gate. 

I quickly changed and tied my hair in a ponytail and let my front hair loose a bit. After everything was ready, I dashed down the stairs and met them at the gate. But to my surprise, there was another girl there. She was blond and she wore blue spectacles but she was pretty of course. From her name tag, I spotted her name. Eloise. Nice name.

''Hey, who's this?'' I asked Hayley and Eloise came up to me and shook my hand. ''My name is Eloise. I'm Hayley's best friend. I'm also Tristan's little girlfriend. Nice to meet you.'' what...Tristan's girlfriend? Why did that made me frown? no, I wasn't jealous...or was I? Pssh! whatever I didn't care from what Tristan did. 

''My name is Kayla. I'm the millionaire's daughter. And I think we should go to school.'' okay, maybe i sounded a little mean back there but I just didn't like her. Hayley left Eloise with Tristan and catched up to me. 

''Jealousy?'' Hayley nudged me in the ribs. ''No, I'm not!'' I glared at Hayley. 

''Yeah you are! I could see it in your eyes!'' she said and grabbed my arm and started running. What?! 

''Come on! Let's go to school! Leave those two alone!'' she said and so I ran with her. When we got to school, Hayley gave me my schedule and lucky for me, I had all classes with Hayley. Which meant, I didn't need to be stuck in this new school where everyone were strangers.

As I enter the classroom with Hayley, the teacher announced, ''Everyone, this is Kayla. Make sure you treat her nice. Or you'll get my fist.'' which made everyone laughed. The teacher was an old man in his sixties but clearly he could teach and he was really humorous. I sat next to Hayley and two guys in front of us turned around.

''Hey Hayley. Who's this?'' one of them ask.

''Oh shush, Josh. This is my cousin, Kayla. Now turn around before Mr. Greg catches you.'' she pushed them and they fell in front which was absolutely funny. By the end of the day, I was walking home with Hayley and the 'couple of the year'. Stupid Tristan.

From far I could see Tristan's little brother running towards us with those cute little shouts.

''Kaaaaaaaaaylaaaaaaaaa!'' he shouted and hugged me when he got near me. Cute little boy. ''Jack, go back home. What are you doing out here so late?'' Tristan said. Oh! So his name was jack...

Jack stucked his tongue out at Eloise and mouthed ''Nerd'' and obviously Eloise saw it 'cause she stomped off without a goodbye. Me and Hayley collasped on the ground laughing our heads off.

''Kaaaylaaa! Rubean is missing.'' so Rubean belongs to Jack eh?

''jack go back home. We'll find Rubean for you, okay sweetie?'' Hayley said to him and Jack ran off.

''okay, horse hunting time.'' Hayley dragged me and Tristan along. But pulling me was the mistake. I tripped and fell onto the ground resulting my knee bleeding like hell.

''Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! let's get you back! Can you walk?'' I tried getting up but my legs just won't work with me.

''Fine...I'll carry her.'' Tristan carried me on his back and we were off horse hunting.
