She's My Girl - Chapter 2

Everywhere I look, the scenery was ALL GREEN not a tiny pink anywhere! Mom and dad were at home resting in their comfortable chairs while I had to go to Aunty Jennifer's little farm. That was just unfair! How would I survive without my beloved conditioners back home?

I sighed at the thought and slouched back in my seat. ''Don't be sad, little Kayla. I have been living with you about sixteen years and i know that you're tough enough to handle this! Besides! Who knows? There might be some adventures on the farm.'' Mr Hamod, our driver said.

''Thank you for trying to cheer me up, Hamod. It helped...a bit. I just can't believe I'm leaving everything for nothing!'' I said to him.

Hamod just smiled and shook his head as he continued driving. We reached the farm an hour later. The farm wasn't as old fashion as I thought but still, in my taste, not as nice as my mansion back home.

It had a really grand metal gate, grass on the ground instead of mud and a house which was fit for a NORMAL TEENAGER. It has two floors so I guess it was good enough. I got down from the car and instantly, my fabulous pink boots landed on mucky mud. Which...sucked.

''You know, if you want to work here, you have to stop wearing clothes like you're going to a fashion show and wear these.'' I heard my aunt's voice behind me. I turned around and she threw some baggy jeans and some plead baggy shirt.

''Oh my gosh, don't tell me I have to wear this every single day.'' I moaned.

''No you just have to wear something that doesn't have so much bling bling in it.'' she said and turned to Hamod. ''You can go now. I could take care of her.''

''Alright, miss. Goodbye, mistress Kayla.'' he said as he pulled out of the driveway. My bags and stuff on the grass.

''Carry all that and come in the house. I'm sure you'll enjoy your roommate.'' Roommate? No one said anything about rooming with anyone!

My room apparently was on the second floor and it was all blue. Horror. Looks like my roommate loved blue. ''Hello, Kayla. I'm your cousin, Hayley. I'm getting the top of the bunk bed.'' she said as she climbed up to her bed.

''Hey, I never heard of you, Hayley. How did you know me?'' I said putting all my bags on my bed. Which was quite empty because there wasn't a single stuff animal on the bed. Torture.

''Mom talks about you all the time. She said Tristan and me will be your guide around the farm. Tristan is sixteen going on seventeen. He stays at the room opposite ours. And if you're interested in him, have him all you want, girl.'' she laughed when she said it.

''Oh I have a boyfriend back home. He's the most perfect guy I ever had. Actually the only guy I ever had. What about you?''

''Single forever, girl. Well, at least until I'm twenty. I have my own rules.'' I observed her looks and honestly, she was pretty. She had her mom's honey brown hair, green eyes and her height was not too tall, not too short, just right. And I was so sure lots of guys fell for her because of her personality which was a combination of a guy's and her own.

''Well, I'm gonna change and then you could show me around.'' I told her while taking out my clothes.

''Oh and one tip, Kays. You have to learn how to be tough. Or you'll end up getting beaten up by...the animals.'' and she gave a girly laugh. Animals? I was never good with animals
