Chapter Two ~Will he live~

A/N: Alright! So I've been slacking on updates. Sorry! I've been busy with family stuff. Anyways hope this chapter fulfills its duty!

Kakashi and Sasuke had been admitted to the Hospital for observations, Kakashi had overused his Sharingan 'again and had to have his shoulder stitched after his arm was reset. Sasuke had gotten his third tomoe marks in his Sharingan eyes and only had a few gashes here and there. Sakura was a bit traumatized but otherwise fine, Tsundae prescribed her meds for anxiety and PTSD.

Minato and Kushina were worried that Naruto would stay comatose. After a month of him being in the hospital, even Jiraiya had to admit he was nervous that his Godson would never awaken. Sure the kid was a handful but Jiraiya liked his usually upbeat personality. He gripped the boys left shoulder softly, watching a machine keep his oxygen levels up. The rise and fall of his chest was only due to machine filling his lungs with oxygen. Iruka was beyond nervous, he thought Naruto was in a death state...he was used to the boy running and causing mischief 24/7.

"Tsundae... Can you try to atleast bring him out of this state?" Jiraiya asked his teammate. She was the best medical ninja in all the elemental nations but still she put her head down and shook her head no.

"I can't reverse the damage, it would kill him...the Kyuubi has a special specific chakra pattern that can only be healed if he allows it. Right now he has shut Naruto off from that network, thus disabling me from helping either of them." Tsundae responded.

Jiraiya sighed heavily, "I understand... Thank you." He said.

Tsundae nodded and left the room, Kushina was holding Naruto's left hand while Minato sat on the right side and would alternate between smoothing his Son's hair back and talking to him then trying to get the boy to respond with no luck.

About two and a half months in Naruto opened his eyes, blinking repeatedly. The light hurt his eyes but what hurt worse was his lungs and throat. He opened his mouth slowly and tried to talk but alls that came out was an odd toned muffled gibberish type language.

"Naruto?" Kushina said excited and fastly went from standing by the window to sitting next to his bed side.

"...." Naruto tried to speak but the breathing tube was in his way. It almost made him gag when he got too excited.

"Hold on, I'll go get the others!" Kushina said. She kissed her son on the forehead and patted his hand before jumping up and running to the door. She slammed it open and ran towards the lobby.

~In the Lobby~

"Minato!" Kushina shouted and came to a stop, her hands to her knees...being in the hospital and not out keeping limber really was getting to her body but she didn't care, she needed to be with her son. He needed her more than the ninja world right now.

"What is it, is everything ok? Is something wrong with Naruto?" Minato asked with a bit too much anxiety.

"He's awake..." Kushina said. Minato, Jiraiya and Kushina all ran back to the room. A beeping noise sounded as they left the lobby, nurses and even Tsundae were close so they took the call. Tsundae was on the ball, she had two of the male nurses hold the boy down that was thrashing. She told one of the female nurses to put a tranquilizing agent into the boy's drip. Minato and Kushina along with Jiraiya came into the room.

"Please you have to leave, you don't want to see this." The female nurse that had put the tranquilizer into the drip said.

"That's my son! I am Hokage! I demand you allow us through!" Minato said with authority.

"I don't care if you are King of the world! Minato...all three of you! Get out! I'll call for you when he is stabilized!" Tsundae shouted while trying to pump air into the teens lungs. "Damnit! He's flat lining!" She shouted.

"I'm not leaving! He's my son!" Minato shouted trying to pass the nurse.

"Go! Do you want to get in my way! Distract me? You'll kill him if you don't leave now...OUT!" Tsundae shouted.

"Minato, she's right. Let's allow them to do their job." Jiraiya says while his hand is gently on his student's shoulder. Minato takes a breath then pulls Kushina out of the room with him and Jiraiya.

The call light on the outside on top the door began to blink, it was red in color and beeping loudly. A woman's voice came over the intercom to inform staff, "Code Blue! I repeat, we have a code blue! I need another doctor stat!" The voice was one of authority and suddenly a medical core doctor shunshined past the three and into the room. The doctor was a male about six foot in height and had brown hair and black rimmed square glasses. After about three minutes the code blue stopped blinking and the doctor exited the room. Without a word, he nodded the shunshined away again. Tsundae came out along with the two male medical workers. The men left with strained faces but the female nurse stayed behind for a few more minutes to get Naruto into a comfy position.

"Tsundae?" Minato asked.

Tsundae stayed silent for a moment then breathed out. They noticed tears streaming down her cheeks, "He's stable...but I don't know for how long. He can't take much more...if the Kyuubi continues to poison his system by holding back his chakra...Naruto will die." Tsundae states.

"Oh lord Kami-sama, please..." Kushina said then fell against Minato's chest. He embraced her in a tight hug and tried to soothe her pain. Were they truly going to lose their son? He wondered to himself in his head.

Jiraiya frowned, "Let me talk to him." He says getting an idea.

No one acts for a moment then Minato nods, "I'm going in with you." He says.

"Can you handle the seals while Kushina and Tsundae maintain the connection?" Jiraiya asks.

Minato smiles, "Of course, but we'll need Inoichi." He says.

"Right here." Inoichi says.

"...H-how!?" Minato asks bewildered.

"Sorry Minato-Sensei, it was me who asked him to try and contact Naruto...I can't stand seeing him like this." Kakashi says, clicking his foot against the floor anxiously.

"Thank you, I know you are only worried. I am not mad in any way my student." Minato says, Kakashi smiles sheepishly.

"Well, shall we start?" Minato says. Everyone nods and enters the room of the unconscious teen.
