Chapter Seven: Recollection

(Sorry! I've been really busy and lots of other stories popped up in my head plus I'm majorly tired! I'll try to update more but it's early morning here & I'm low on sleep. Disclaimer: I don't own Naru-Kun. Thanks. ANA)

Naruto sat down by the river in Konoha, 'It's been a while since I've been here." He thinks. During his time away from the Village had it's benefits. He did miss Kurama, not for the power but for the friendship they used to have when he was little until the beast went crazy without its other half to calm it.

Kurama had been his first friend, so what happened to him? Why? Naruto continued to stare into the water a face appeared that wasn't his from behind him. He sighed when it was only his Mother, "Naruto?" She asked softly and touched his hair.

   Naruto looked back and saw a frown on her face and tears in her eyes. "Yes?" He asked.

   "I missed you, why would you run away and leave me with regrets!" Kushina asked sadly.

   "Pff, You? Have regrets? Tell me another joke Lady Namikaze." Naruto said standing up tall.

   Her hand shot out towards his cheek but his hand caught and tightened around her wrist, "I left because of the Monster your husband placed inside me wanted nothing more than to kill you. To kill all of you! I got rid of him even though it pained me too! He was my salvation but something happened to him and I could no longer get through to him! You think I enjoyed being beaten by the Villager's? You think I enjoyed going nine tails because something happened to my seal on my first C rank mission to cause me to go insane!? No I never enjoyed the pain but I endured the pain for You! For your Village... Because I love you all... So do not ever slap me, don't you dare ever touch me with your hands again. I can't stand this place because it ruined Me just because of the same thing that you yourself hold. You were never beaten, so why was I!?" He shouted before releasing her wrist angrily.

   Kushina held her wrist, eyes full of tears she was trying to hold back. "I never meant to make you feel that way, we tried to save you give years ago... But You dissappered, I never got to tell you how much I truly love you. I did wrong, but I ask for your forgiveness of this Village and for your Father and I." She whispered.

   Naruto looked at her then flashed away, he reappeared on the Hokage Monument and sat down... Moving his hand through his hair he sighed audibly. 'Why? Why is it so hard to speak with her!' He thinks.

   "You alright?" Came a male voice, Naruto jumped and looked over to see his blonde haired Father leaning against the stones.

   "I talked with Mom, she told Me her feelings." Naruto says looking up at the sky.

   "I see, so that's what's bothering you." Minato says with his head down and eyes closed as if he were in deep thought. Arms crossed over his chest.

   "Yeah, I ran away to protect but I hardened my heart and then I lost Kurama... that's the Kyuubi's name. He was unstable for some reason, back during the first mission you sent me on with team 7. Then Sasuke and I met up out there and I realized that I needed to come back and...so did he. It was simply time to forgive." Naruto says.

   "I'm glad to get your forgiveness but please no more running away, that...that hurt so much deep in my heart when you defected, I thought I'd lost you forever." Minato said sadly fist clenched tightly.

   "I promise, I'll stay." Naruto says.

    "Arigatou." Minato says.

   It had been two weeks since Naruto and Sasuke had been back. Naruto laid in bed thinking when someone started banging on his door, when he got up and angrily answered it he was blind folded and a gag was placed over his mouth after someone had knocked him out with a swift kick to the gut and a punch to the face. 'Damnit! Caught off guard.' He thought while being he was being pulled along after his hand were bound together.

   Soon he had his eyesight back and what he saw was Sasuke next to him in the same predicament. Infront of them was Lord Danzo and the counsel. "Namikaze Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke...you two are hereby sentenced to death by the council for Treason and for defection of your own Village. Death is the highest payment for such crimes! You'll be executed tomorrow in the Village square where all will see your deaths'. That is all, take them to their cells!" Danzo ordered and five root member's took them away.

   Naruto protested, his eyes slamming one or the Root ANBU into a rock wall. He growled at them with pure fury but Sasuke was worse. He had put them under advanced genjutsu and started to burn them alive with Amateratsu.

   Naruto sighed and spat out the gag, "Eh! Sasuke, don't over due it! You'll blind yourself Teme." He said annoyed.

   Sasuke put his head down, his Sharingan deactivated and blood steaming down his cheek. The eyes he'd gotten from the so called Madara after killing Orochimaru weren't fully ready for such strain yet.

   Naruto sighed, "Let's get ou-" something started to choke him so he grabbed whatever it was as it hoisted him up invisibly. Sasuke was shouting behind his gag but was too weak to even stand so he couldn't do anything about it. The invisible object drug them both off before throwing them into two different cell's and appearing as Danzo himself, who had used a cloaking jutsu to hide his presence well.

   Naruto sighed, "We'll stay here till you're strong then tomorrow we'll silently go with them once in town square we'll make a big ruckus. You up for it? Eh Sasuke?" Naruto asks.

   Sasuke sighs, spitting the gag out finally with relief... "Why stay here, use your eyes to push the bars apart and let's go Dobe!" Sasuke snaps.

   "No, the times not right... This Village will know my true strength by tomorrow, and what they see will scare them worse than anything ever will again. For this power is combined with the power I received from draining Kurama of his own essence before he was released into the statue." Naruto says smiling, his eyes flash deep red before turning back to purple.

   "Then we wait?" Sasuke says.

   "We wait, then we destroy Danzo and the council." Naruto says and Sasuke merely laughs.
