I've been sitting the the waiting room for what seemed like hours until the doctor came.

"I was going to send a nurse to tell you what was happening, but I forgot. We fixed him up and he will be able to leave tomorrow." Dr. Carter said walking up to me.

"I'm glad he's alright." I say softly looking up at him from my chair. My eyes were red from the tears.

"Would you like to see how he's doing?" He asked looking at me with concern. I nod and he leads me back to the room Leo was in. I walk in to see he was sleeping, and shirtless. Seeing that he had to he his side fixed up, I get why he's shirtless.

"You are able to stay the night with him if you like." The doctors says. I nod to him before he exits the room. I sit down on a chair next to the bed and watch him.

"He looks likes he's not in much pain, so that's good, but why would he protect me like that?" I though to myself as sit back against the chair. I pull out my phone to see ten missed calls from my mom and a text saying, "Where are you at?! It's 12:03!!" I decide to text here back saying, "I'm okay, I decided to hangout with a friend tonight, is that okay?"

Soon after she texts me back saying, "Yes, that's fine, but next time tell me earlier." I respond with an, "Ok," and look back up at Leo to see he was watching me.

"Hi. Are you feeling okay?" I ask, leaning towards him a little.

"Yeah, fine." He answers closing his eyes.

"Why did you save me back there?" I asks, proving my elbow on my knee and laying my head in my hand.

"Because those guys were my business, and you shouldn't have had to deal with them yourself. And besides that, you're kind of cute." He said his eyes still closed and slightly smiling at the end of his sentence. I feel myself smile a little.

"Oh... What did you do to have those guys get after you?" I ask lifting my head up.

"I had taken something valuable to them, and hid it. That something was valuable to me to, seeing that it was mine before they had it. So now they're after me to get it back, but they never will." He explained.

"What did you take back?" I ask him, seeing that I was becoming a little to nosey.

"A pocket watch." He says opening his eyes and looking at me.

"A pocket watch? Seriously?" I ask confused on how it could be so valuable.

"It's not just a pocket watch though. There's a secret to it, something valuable is hidden inside." He explains.

"That makes more sense. But why was I invalved with it?" I ask.

"They were going to take you to try and get back the watch. They've done it before with my sister. They gave me 24 hours. I forgot where I hid the watch, so they sent me a video later, showing me how they torchered my 10 year old sister to death. I didn't want to loose someone else I care about because of a stupid choice I've made." He says still looking at me, tears forming in his eyes. I was about to cry too.

"Don't cry, it's okay. They won't get you the way they got her." He said reaching his hand out. I take his hand and smile weakly, nodding. He takes his hand away and cups my cheek, softly wiping away tears with his thumb. I grab his hand against my cheek and try to hold my smile.

"Here's something to eat if your hungry." A nurse said walking in with a tray of food.

"Thanks." Leo says taking his hand off of my cheek. He pressed a button on the side of the bed to raise him to a sitting position without hurting himself. He takes the tray and sets it on his lap. The nurse smile and walks out.
