I let the portal absorb me, then took a step back into my world.

I was greeted by Tutes immediately.

"How did it go? I see you lit the flame between your horns. That must mean tha-"

"Does it hurt?" I interrupt. I need to know why they think we're killing them.

"Does what hurt?"

"Sending ghosts to heaven? Does it hurt them?"

"Of course it hurts. Crossing dimensions always hurts." Tutes tilted her head curiously.

"Why do you ask?"

"Oh-Uh, no reason." I try to brush off the conversation like it was nothing.

"Okay." Tutes replies, her disbelief leaking into her voice. "Look at young Algra-Tan. He's checking you out!" She suddenly states, steering the subject away.

"Ew. No thanks." I mumble to myself, but Tutes hears me.

"What do you mean, 'ew'? Last sunrise you really liked that boy."

"Well I don't right now!" I almost shout and Tutes flinches. She grabs my horns and drags me away from the portal into an unoccupied room.

"What happened." She more of stated than asked.

"Whatever do you mean?" I reply, trying to brush it off to no avail.

"During the hunt. What happened? Did you find him? You didn't return him, did you? Why didn't you return him?" Oh crap. She knows.

"I ran into a different ghost... Her name was Rose. She was red. She was so small. She told me stories about how her family all became ghosts. They all thought we were killing them, Tutes! Killing them." I purposely lied about Lilly so that Tutes wouldn't put her up on a poster for a job.

"Then I found the steamer, and he was amazing!" I smiled at the thought and my eyes softened at the edges. "He was gorgeous, and he was sweet! To me! I think I like him."I say truthfully.

Tutes' face hardened into a mask of anger and horrified disgust.

"You are an abomination." Tutes whispered to me. "You fell in love? With a ghost? I should have known to deny you training ever since your deformed bottom corrected your hatchers. You have been nothing but trouble. I thought you'd grow out of it. I thought that once you got your flame working, you could mature. You can't mature. You are still an ugly shade of blue with ugly backwards horns and a disgusting backwards brain!" She shouted at me.

My tears were now falling freely, hitting the floor with a plip plip plip sound.

"Get out of my sight." She growled at me. I turned and ran.

I ran. I ran so far. I ran straight to the portal and ran right through it. I ran back to the hiding place and I stayed there. I was audibly crying now. My whimpers and sobs could be heard from miles away, but I didn't care. My tutor, my teacher who was like a mother to me, has hated me since I was brought to her. Why does everyone hate me? Why am I so abnormal? Why am I so... Disgusting?

The pain I felt was unlike anything I had ever experienced and I needed to even it out. I needed to make it stop.

I used my claws on the end of my fingers to cut under my scales in three straight lines down my arm.

All my sadness and hurt hardened into anger. I was going to find Lilly and Xen. I was going to keep them safe. From Tutes, from anyone who would hurt them like they hurt me. They lied to me.

I flapped my wings and took off in record time. I saw Lilly and Xen off in the corner of my eyes. They were being chased by some Drakons. /Demons/ I corrected myself. I dived down in front of the Demons and a few of them recognized me.

"Here's the deformed dog." They called. Five of them.

"Deformed my ass." I mumbled, judo flipping one of them and kicking him in the face with my hooves. Four left. I spread my wings and my claws, ready to seriously hurt.

"If you touch either of these two, I will kill you." I snarl, diving at one of them with my claws. One of his buddies decided to sneak behind me only to get a face full of my wing-claws stabbing him and dragging him onto my horns, which were the perfect fit for his neck, where he choked until I could down his buddy. Then I grabbed him by the feet with my tail and held him in front of my face.

"Tell the others that these two are. PROTECTED." I screamed at him. I rolled my shoulders and kicked him back to his buddies.

I checked over my shoulders that Xen and Lilly were safe. I then turned around, knocking the last one out with my horns.

I walked over to them where they stood open-mouthed.

"Can I stay with you guys?" I asked politely, giving my sweetest smile.
