Full Moon

Chapter 1

Dustin’s pov

    Another boring school day. It’s only been 1 month into the school year and I’m already tired of it. I’m in my 12th year and can’t wait to leave this death hole. The only good part about school is being captain of the football and soccer team. I am also super popular since most of the kids at my school are werewolves and I’m the son of one of the most powerful Alphas in North America.

     Today we are getting a new family joining our pack. The father is an old friend of my dad’s from college. They have a son 2 years older than me and a son and daughter my age.  I’m supposed to take the kids my age back to the pack house after school.

    As I entered the school with my friend Connor (who will be my Beta when I am Alpha) I couldn’t help but notice a different and new scent in the air.

“Hey Connor do you smell that?” I asked him

“No what is it?”

“it smells like fresh baked cookies and roses” I said

“Dude I think your mate is here somewhere”

   I couldn’t believe it ever since I was 16 I was longing to find my mate and I haven’t and now she was here somewhere.

“I’m going to go find her.” I said to a now busy Connor who had his Mate Elizabeth by his side.

    I ran off and followed the scent to the garden out at the back of the school. I was the back of a medium height girl with medium dark brown hair. I cleared my throat and the girl turned around and she had the most beautiful face ever.

“Hi, I’m Dustin Hayfield and you’re my mate”

“I’m your what?” The girl asked confused

“Mate. Didn’t you learn about them when you were little? All werewolves do” I asked her

“Wait did you just say were wolf?”

    That’s when I got really confused she smelt like a werewolf but had no idea what is was talking about. Also if she wasn’t a werewolf I just told her something that was never to be told to any human. I looked up to see her laughing.

“What’s so funny?” I asked

“Your face” she said

“Wait what?” Now I was really confused

“I was joking I am a werewolf and I know you’re my mate.”

“Oh well that explains a lot” I said

“I’m Chloe Harris” she said

“Again I’m Dustin Hayfield” I told and she gasped

“Wait that means your next in line to be Alpha of the Red fire pack” She said

“ and you are the next Luna of the red fire pack” I said sitting beside her.

    Then it hit she was Chloe Harris. I was supposed to take the Harris kids to the pack house.

“So just a question. Do you happen to be part of the family joining my pack?” I asked her

“Ya” she said

“Well I’m very sorry about your old pack” I said

     As I realized I probably shouldn’t have said that I saw tears forming in her eyes. I pulled Chloe into a hug.

“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have said anything” I told her

“No it’s okay I guess I just really miss everyone” she said sniffling
