Chapter 2

Chloe’s pov

      As we got closer to the pack house I got more nervous. What if Dustin’s parents didn’t like me? What if they wanted him to be with that Clare girl?

     Dustin must have felt that I was nervous because he grabbed my hand and gave it a small squeeze. I looked up at him and smiled.

    We pulled up to the pack house and my brother jumped out of the car. Dustin opened my door for me and held my hand as we walked into the pack house. When we walked in the front door I could smell my parents down the hall.

“I think they’re in the kitchen” Dustin said pulling me along

Before Dustin or I could say anything my mom yelled

“OH MY GOSH YOU TWO ARE MATES” she said running over to me and gave me a big hug.

  Dustin laughed but only long enough to be pulled into a big hug by his mom. After the round of hugs my older brother Kevin walked over to Dustin.

“You hurt her I will hurt you” He said

  I glared at him

“Don’t worry I don’t plan on it. Now that I would have 2 brothers on my trail” Dustin said laughing

  Our parents walked towards the living room and we followed. I sat beside Dustin and he loosely put his arm around my shoulders and I leaned into his chest.

“So I guess we are going to have to start planning your mating party” Dustin’s mother said

   I looked up at Dustin confused.

“Whenever someone high up in the pack finds their mat we hold a mating party to celebrate. Since my dad is alpha it’s usually pretty big” He explained

  We listened back into our parents’ conversation. They were now deciding on a date.

“Mom can’t we plan some of this?” Dustin asked

“Well of course you can help! We need a theme, Decorations, entertainment” Dustin’s mom started listing.

  After our parents picked a date for the party I asked.

“Umm where is my room?”

“Oh yes darling with all the excitement I totally forgot. Since you and Dustin are mates your rooms are now right next to each other.” Dustin’s father said.

  After another hour of talking I decided I would go to sleep. I had some homework to do. Dustin and I walked upstairs hand in hand.

“Hey do you want to meet my sister?” Dustin asked.

“I didn’t know you had a sister” I said

“Ya she is 2 years younger than me”

   Dustin pulled me down the hall and Knocked on a door.  The girl who opened the door had the same shade of dark black hair as Dustin.

“Heather this is my mate Chloe. Chloe this is my sister heather” Dustin introduced us

“Hi it’s nice to meet you” Heather said “if you ever need anything come find me” she said

“Thanks well I should go get some homework done. Dustin can you show me my room please” I said

  Dustin and I said goodnight to his siter and walked down another hall. I noticed there were basically no other rooms down this hall.

“Why are they like no rooms down this hall?” I asked

“Well when I was 16 I moved to my room which only had one other room in whole hall which would be for my mate. So basically this is our hall.” Dustin explained

“Oh”

“There are other rooms that will be made into rooms for our children and when we are fully mated you will move into my room”

“That’s neat my old pack never did that”

   When we reached our rooms her gave me a quick kiss on my cheek and said goodnight before going into his room.

Dustin’s pov

     It was hard to walk away from Chloe. Her beautiful long light brown hair and Light blue eyes were so enticing. I saw my bag sitting by the end of my bed and decided I should probably start that essay for English.

   After Starting the essay it came easy to me. I finished the essay in 2 hours and moved on to my chemistry homework.

  I was getting tired so I went to bed and couldn’t wait to see my beautiful angel’s face in the morning.

    I woke up to a loud knocking on my door.

“Dustin get up were going to be late for school” Chloe yelled

“Okay I’ll be down in a minute”

  I quickly went to my closet and grabbed a shirt and some shorts. I had and quick shower Then I brushed my hair and my teeth. I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs.

   I couldn’t wait to see Chloe again. I walked into the kitchen and saw Heather and Chloe laughing. Both girls heard me walk in and looked over at me.

   I sat down beside Chloe and pecked her on the cheek. Chloe and Heather continued their conversation. After we finished breakfast I took Chloe’s hand and walked to my car.

“So how did you sleep?” I asked her

“Good how about you?” she asked me

“Great knowing my beautiful mate was in the room right beside me.” I said and she blushed

“You know you look adorable when you blush” I told her and she blushed again.

  We reached school and obviously the word had spread that Chloe was my mate. I could see the looks the girls in my pack wanted to give her but couldn’t because they knew I would kill them. Also the jealous looks from the guys and girls in other packs who either wanted to be my mate or Chloe’s.

   I pulled Chloe closer to my side.

We walked into the school.

“Hey are you ok with waiting for a bit after school I have a soccer practice today” I asked Chloe

“No it’s fine as long as you don’t mind waiting for my tomorrow I am going to try out for the girls soccer team.” She told me

“That’s totally fine”

 School couldn’t go fast enough. I got out to the soccer field to see Chloe sitting on the bleachers with Elizabeth. Connor was also on the soccer team. I looked over again and saw Chloe looking my way and I waved. She waved back.

   Practice was fun and it felt good to have Chloe watching. We had a game in 2 weeks against south-north high who were our main competition. They are the only reason we didn’t make it to provincials last year.

   I walked out of the change room and found Chloe standing against the wall. I walked up behind her and pecked her on the cheek.

“Hey, you ready to go?” I said grabbing her hand

   We walked to my car and started driving home

“Hey I was wondering if you wanted to do something tonight.” I asked Chloe

“Are you asking me out on a date?” Chloe asked

“Ummm Ya”

“Well……..”

   Chloe started and didn’t say anything for a while. What if she said no? I had the perfect date planned in my head.

“Of course” she said pecking me on the cheek “But that means you need to let me do my homework now and so do you”

   By now we had reached the pack house. Chloe Hopped out of the car and walked inside without saying anything else.
