Chapter 3

  Chloe’s POV

After finishing my homework I decided I should get ready for my date with Dustin. I had no idea where we were going so I had no idea what to wear

  I looked through my closet I didn’t have a whole lot to choose from since we had been on the run. Suddenly the door to my room burst open and revealed Liz.

“I heard you have a date tonight” she said

“Who told you?”

“Connor, He’s Dustin’s Beta. Connor tells him everything. So I’m here to help.” Liz told me

    She pulled out a cute sleeveless green sundress that had small white flowers all over and a white sash across the dress.

“Omg  is this..”

“Ya” Liz said

 The dress lying on my bed was in fact my dress I had given it to Liz to wear to the last school dance we had before she left. She never had given it back to me and now here it was.

“I remember how much fun we had that night” I said

“I know now go change” she said handing me the dress and pushing me towards the bathroom.

  I put on the dress and came out. I garbed my denim jacket and put it on too.

“Sit” Liz said pulling out a chair in front of my dresser.

  She loosely curled my hair and pulled it half up half down and clipped it back with a solid white clip. Then she put on some light makeup that consisted of mascara and some light pink lip gloss. She handed me a pair of whit flats and I put them on.

  I did a quick twirl.

“Thank you so much” I said giving Liz a huge hug.

“Now hurry or you’ll keep your mate waiting” she said

  I looked at the clock and saw it said 7pm. I was supposed to be downstairs right now.

“Thanks again Liz” I said grabbing my purse and running out the door

“No problem” I heard her call from down the hall.

   I still haven’t really gotten to know my way around that much so very quickly I got lost. I looked at phone and saw it was now 7:15.

   Dustin was going to hate me for being late. I started to run down the halls turning left and right until I ran into something hard. I was knocked to the ground. I looked up.

“Oh my gosh Dustin I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to be late I just uh…. Got lost” I said blushing by the end

“It’s ok and you look absolutely beautiful” Dustin said

“Thank you” I said blushing

    We walked down a few halls and finally reached the front door. We walked to Dustin’s car. He opened the door of the passenger side for me.

Dustin’s POV

    We had been driving for about 30 minutes and were just about there. Chloe was sitting silently beside me looking out the window as we drove.

   I pulled up and parked on the edge of a forest.

“Where are we?” Chloe asked as she got out of the car.

“you’ll see. Come on” I said grabbing a picnic basket from the back seat.

 I took Chloe’s hand and mine and we walked towards the forest. We had walked through the forest and came to a clearing.

  I looked over at Chloe and saw the amazement in her eyes.

  Just across the clearing was a small lake with a waterfall cascading down a cliff.

“This is where I come when I want to get away from the rest of the world” I told her.

“It’s beautiful” she said

“Just like you”

“well that was cheesy”

“Ya but you’re blushing”

  Chloe giggled

“Come on let’s go eat.” I said

 We sat down by the lake and ate the picnic my sister helped me make. After we sat and talked. Soon the sun was going down we were lying down on the grass and looking up at the stars.

“Did I tell you you look beautiful?” I asked her

“Yes”

“Well you are” I told her

  She turned to look at me. I started leaning in towards and her towards me and when our lips touched I felt sparks. It was the perfect kiss.

  We stared up at the stars for a little while longer.

“We should probably go  it’s getting late” I said getting up.

  I took Chloe’s hands in mine and pulled her up towards me and kissed her.

“I thought we were leaving”

“Yes we are”

  And that was the end to the perfect evening.
