Corbin followed Kimbra out of the main building after breakfast. She tried to ignore him, but he grabbed her arm and spun her around roughly to face him. She winced a little.
"Sorry," he apologized and slid his hand down to her's where he paused. "Avoid Vince when he comes back. He may overpower you and claim you and then my father won't be able to save you."
Corbin's eyes bore into her's and she felt tingles up her arm from where he held her hand. Confused she just nodded.
Corbin gave her a slight smile at her and gently squeezed her hand before turning to go back in the main building.
Confused at how she felt about the hand-holding thing with Corbin she hurried up the steps and into her room. He had always teased her but the Vince thing had made him touchy.
After lunch, Kimbra knocked on Tyvor's office door. She wanted permission to go into town to walk around and get out of the motel.
"Come in." She pushed open the door and Tyvor glanced up at her. He grinned at her and motioned her towards a seat. "I was wanting to speak to you."
"Ok," she sat down in front of him.
"That young man, Vince, is not to come near you anymore. Your not his. He claims your his mate, but you are not his." Tyvor's brows came together in a serious scowl. "He is not your mate."
"Will I ever have one?" Kimbra hoped he'd sayprobably not but he smiled kindly at her.
"Yes, Kimbra. I've been wondering when you would ask." Tyvor watched her closely with his golden eyes. "Corbin is your mate."
