After the pool was filled with chlorinated water, Liam and I decided to sit and chat in front the sight of it.

We're sat on the edge of the pool, dangling our feet. Liam's pants were rolled up to his knees, smoothly and skillfully. Unlucky me, I wasn't able to even roll it up an inch due to the thickness and tightness of my jeans.

"You're an idiot," I laugh in response at Liam's failed attempt which is to gulp down his beer in one shot. My hands reach up his back, rubbing circles. "Are you ok tho?"

Few more coughs, he nods. His lips pull up into a tight line as his expression softens.

"I'll go get you some water."

His hand tugs at the hem of my top as I stand on my feet. "No, no. It's fine!" He assures, rises up and looks down at me. "I'll go get us more to drink."

With that said, he leaves.

Still the same immature Liam.

I sit back at the same spot I sat at earlier, look up at the sky and admire it.

A dark blue carpet lovely decorated with bright diamond dots.

Shine bright like a diamond, I mentally sing. Tonight, you and I.

I let out a chortle at how ridiculously silly my thoughts are, shaking my head in disapproval. "Stupid."

"Care to share what's on your mind, Alex?" A deep voice says behind me.

That voice . . .

Ignoring it, I look up at the sky intensely and huff in annoyance. Never have I came across the point of being drossy and hallucinating at the same time. This doesn't make sense; my mind is as a building that's exploding down into dust, ashes and whatever other damaged materials.

"Alex."

My name is repeated by the same source.

I run my hand through my ponytail, bringing it to the side, tiredly sighing. My eyes stare lifelessly into the pool as a very weak smile is pulled up into my lips.

"I went insane now," I close my eyes as the wind hollows, giving me some energetic vibes.

Someone crotches next to me, their presence feel familiar. A hand holds my shoulder comfortingly.

"Alex."

This time my name is spilled out differently, sounding differently, feels different having an effect on me.

I'm not awarded the time to have my senses settled as their hand traces my neck, causing my heart to leap, skipping a beat.

Frowning, I shrug off the hand then look at the person. My vision is a bit blurry, making it difficult to point out the feature of the person. I blink severely, re-looking at the person once more.

Once I spot who's right next to me, face to face, realization hits me, hard. My mouth opens slightly as a lump grows in my throat, my eyes blink involuntarily as my brain stops functioning properly. Goosebumps rise on my skin, alert and bold. Numbness spreads over my rigid limps.

"You?!" The word comes out slurred and elongated. My body shivers with a foreign feeling, wether shock, hurt or anger; I really don't know.
