Chapter 5 •

"She told me to always make sure you and Karmen were safe. To always help when you needed it. She knew you were independent Sasha , but she knew I'd be there every step of the way. She knew her last days were coming. So , she also told me to let you know that your father and her had a joint account that you invested after she passed. I have the bank account number and whenever it's necessary you and Karmen will be set for life." Josh explains.

Oh my god. Josh kept this from me.

"Why would you keep this from me Josh?" I finally spit out after minutes have passed.

"I feel like something big is going to happen and if that means us having to up and leave then we will. I will always be here for you and Karmen." Josh wipes away my tears.

10 Minutes.

20 Minutes.

2 Hours.

4 Hours.

By time I almost fell asleep it was time for me to get up and get Karmen ready.

"Baby , get up we have to get you dressed. " I whispered in her ear. Trying not to wake the beast up from his sleep.

"AHHHH , you look scary sissy!" Karmen yelled , making Josh flinch and fall off the bed.

He's going to kill us both. I pick up Karmen and make a dash for it.

"Get your asses back here. Karmen I'm going to tickle you till you owe yourself !" Josh yells finally coming off the floor.

By time he was even at his door I was in Karmen's room with the door locked.

"So did you sleep good?" I ask Karmen.

She is quite smart so don't ask why I'm talking to a 4 year old like this.

"I had a dream about mommy. She gave me a hug and a kiss and we played with my unicorns.- " Karmen continues to ramble about her dream as I look for her clothes.

Karmen has dreams sick as her previous description all the time. I believe she's serious. My mother never got to experience her , so when she can I can imagine her spending time with K.

" Gold Channel shirt with black tights and gold sandals ?" I ask Karmen once she's done .

" Sounds perfect for picture day !" She claps excitedly.

I forgot it was picture day. Oh god , her hair is a mess. I was just gonna throw it up. We're late. Very late.

" Hurry sissy , we're late. " Karmen pulled me out of my train of thought.

I got her dressed and put her hair into a braided ballerina bun, which wasn't hard because I straightened her hair last night before I left. I proceeded to add her some earrings and our matching sister bracelets.

After getting K dressed I made her breakfast and lunch and let her eat.

I seen Josh in the hallway searching for what I assume is his lucky socks. He has a big swim meet today.

" IN THE BATHROOM DRAWER " I yell hurriedly trying to prepare myself for school.

" Thanks. " he says running past trying to hurry.

This is a typical day in the house of us Royals / Carters.

I threw on a red 'dope' long sleeved crop top and my black high waisted jeans with my infrared 6's. I threw my curly hair back I a ballerina bun like Karmen's and added my sister bracelet.
