Chapter 2 ~

Currently I was at my table with my usual friends and Dre sitting and laughing.

"Royal , what you daydreaming about?" Raquel asks genuinely concerned. She's the one out of the group I've been friends with longest and always will be. Also, one of the prettiest.

"Nothing , just happy I have all of you." I say looking around.

Josh shook his head laughing , he's the player. The dark skin , perfect smile , Highschool running back. He's girls dream boy but my bestfriend.

"You really are quite the emotional one" He says shaking his head.

"Wait , Sasha. The Sasha. She's emotional ? Well , well , well."Dre says making me blush.

"Oh , there's a lot you don"t know" I say smirking since he wants to be funny.

"How about you tell me then over dinner tonight ?" He gives
me a million dollar smile

"I'd love to" I say blushing

After that i heard multiple 'awws' and I got up to leave only having Dre follow.

We walked quietly , a peaceful quiet. I have this pull to him that justmakes me want to tell him my deepest secrets . I honestly don't like it. I've never been like that.

"Ms.Royal I have to go , but I'll see you tonight at 7." Dre says before kissing my hand and walking away.

"Oh yea , I put my number in your phone." I was confused. "You should pay attention more baby doll." he yells while laughing.

I just walked away smiling , running into the group.

Raquel , Josh , Shanti , Luther , and CeeCee all looked up at me smiling one of those 'You gone get some tonight smiles'.

"Yall stop , he ain't even like that , it's simple." I say shrugging.

"So simple your gonna let him meet , Karmen?" Luther , my god brother, asked.

Karmen is my little sister , she stays at Luthers moms house while I'm at school , work , or track practice. Yes , I run track , I'm actually a track star.

" He probably will , she is one thing he needs to know about , yall know every boy runs once they think she my child. " I roll my eyes.

They crack up besides Luther , Raquel , and Josh. Only because they know it's true. They are the people closest to me and that why they know I was serious.

Ever since sophomore year I haven't had a stable relationship. All because Karmen is always by my side and they can't stand it. So , I kick they asses to the curb. Family is over everything and that's on my life.

"I think he's different , the way he looks at you makes me want to kill him." Josh said so seriously

We all looked at him like he was crazy.

"What ? That's my best friend. He looked at her with so much love I almost vomited ?" Josh muttered.

That's Josh for you , overprotective. He was like my brother. We shared an apartment , which also makes niggas more skeptical about me and Josh. I have to though considering I have no where else and he helps me and Karmen more than anyone.

"So Royal , is it to be or not to be " CeeCee teased. She the hopeless romantic in the group.

"I'll see yall tomorrow ,I have to go run some errands. Josh grab my school work for me. I'll see you at home."

Walking out of school I got in my purple Bugatti , how do I have this you may ask , well I got it when my mother passed.

Anyways , going to get Karmen took five minutes . Riding to the mall was very interesting. My sister loves to sing and perform so watching her made my heart swell.

Her long curly hair bobbed as she sang and bounced around , her little dimples showing when she smiled at me. Always a show when with her.

Getting to the mall was the easy part, pulling Karmen around the mall was the hard part. Of course I bought some things she begged for , but my main mission was to get a dress for tonight.

Telling Karmen about my date brought a smile to her face. She love meeting new people. Just like me. So of course she made it her little mission to help find me a dress.

Running into the Body Central store she ran to a golden dress that went mid thigh length. She begged me silently to get it so I took it and tried it on.

Walking out the room I gasped. It was beautiful and Karmen knew I loved it because she smiled as well.

It was strapless and lace but had a cover underneath. I grabbed some gold stilettos to match and me and baby cakes went to women's footlocker.

After grabbing me and Karmen a matching pair of Dirty Bred 11's we went to the car and decided to grab pizza before going home.

Arriving home was some old same old , Josh was sitting in the living room watching tv , oddly quiet.

"Joshy , we got you a large supreme pissa " Karmen yelled walking through the door

Josh walked into the kitchen with a black eye , but still smiled at us.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Me and K yell at the same time.

He just laughed and walked away. I didn't like that. It meant it had something to do with the group. That's the only time he didn't gloat about fights.

I pull Josh into the hallway wile baby cakes sits in the kitchen watching Lion King.

"What the hell happened?" I whisper yell.

"Sasha stop. It was Trexton talking about you and Dre. okay? I handled it." Josh shrugged it off.

"Did u at least win?" I sighed

His smirk told me the answer. I still didn't feel good about it. Trexton been trying to get with me. He's a dope boy whose full of himself. I wouldn't go for anyone like that.

I just walked away to get ready.I only have an hour to get ready.

"You'll watch K for me right ?" I turned around pleading basically.

"Of course , go have fun . Please . For once at least." He laughed walking away.

I didn't find it funny , but my thoughts were interrupted by a text coming through.

' See you soon beautiful. By the way I hope you like that name.😏 '

To : Your Future Boyfriend 😏

' I might just change it to My boyfriend after tonight 😌 , but yes see you soon handsome. '

Walking to the bathroom I took a quick shower making sure to wash my curls and do my girly things I got out and let my hair dry naturally.

I went to put my dress on and put on my stilettos . I added a touch of mascara because my eyelashes are already long , added eyeliner and some eyeshadow and finished with a touch of lipgloss.

Walking into the living room the air got thin. They looked at me no expression.

"Wow. " Josh looked shocked.

"Oh my goodness , Sissy you look so pretty !" Karmen gushed running to me.

"Thank you both , but I have to get going Dre just text , I love you both and be good!" I said sounding like a stern mother.

"We will" they yell in unison.

It felt like forever before I got off the elevator and finally seen him in to corridor.

"You look stunning , Sasha . " Dre says making my face heat up, the way he said it .. just made me very hot and bothered.

This date should definitely be a night to remember.
