Amelia knew that it was strange to go to a funeral in white but this was what she was raised. It was the same material she wore to her parents and her older siblings funeral and she knew that the fabric held all the heavy memories of their death that would forever haunt her. She was the last remaining member of her bloodline and she honored her fallen kinsmen.

Her head fell forward as she let the calmness wash over her as she folded her hands on her lap and prayed for the safe passage of the fallen warriors of this pack but her concentration failed when she sensed him walk in. Amelia tensed all over and she refused to acknowledge the man that just walked in.

He wasn't apart of her plan.

She had ran away for a reason after her family was slaughtered. She had moved to a small southern town when she fled in hopes that they would never find her and she would never have to answer another call but she knew that God would punish her sooner or later. Amelia had hoped at least a year of silence before she was ever summoned again and even went as far as to go to a town filled with wolves knowing fully that they would never search for her there.

Amelia never factored in the slightest chance of finding her mate.

Stilling as Mel felt him walk by with his purposeful strides that held a confidence that she would never have again. Clenching her eyes shut as she cursed her being. This wasn't suppose to happen. Why would God tempt her with a perfect male specimen such as this man with honey blonde hair that was unlike her white blonde hair that always attracted to much attention.

She didn't want to look into his eyes because she just knew she would change forever.

Listening to the reverend soothed her slightly and she felt the weight of the sadness around her like a tangible thing and it hurt her. She knew one of the deceased and it hurt her to see someone as young as her to die. Seth was nice to her and helped her with groceries into her house and she would never forget his kindness when he constantly in the past months that she had been here. Amelia had grown close to the wolf and even went as far as to say she was attached. Nobody had shown her the kindness he had in many years.

Seth was a kind soul and it broke her heart to see his lifeless corpse in a casket and be put in the ground. She would alway remember his infectious laughter and his easy going attitude. Mel knew that this was going to take its toll on his sister Sarah but from what Seth had told her, his sister was anything but weak.

Gathering her courage she looked over at the pew that her mate occupied and Sarah with the beautiful blonde in between them. Amelia felt sorrow when she saw the long legged blonde making passes on the male she had yet to know or even meet but it made it easier to reject their connection. He would have the other women that should satisfy him. Guys went for the tall supermodels right?

When the preacher ended Mel stood and took a calming breath before she passed the male that plagued her thoughts since she had seen him enter this holy building. Tensing slightly as she pass him but that couldn't be helped and she made her way to the girl that was called Sarah who couldn't seem to catch her breath.

Amelia was aware of the fact that everyone had seemed to stop and stare unabashedly.

"I'm sorry for your loss." Amelia said softy feeling weird to use her voice after so long of not using it. "I know how hard it is to lose a sibling but I can promise you that it does get better." Mel tried to ease the agony that this soul was feeling and took her hand gently and made her calm down. She sent her a smile that she hoped would convey the feelings she felt and thought of Seth smiling and her sweet sister Bethany's smile.

"Thank you." Sarah whispered and squeezed her hand in a thanking manner.

"He was good man." She wanted to ease her thoughts and she did. That was all she needed to feel that her duty to Seth was done.

Amelia walked out and didn't glance back and hoped that the man would just go for the other woman as much as the thought hurt her.

Cedric was straining at his self control to go follow the blonde girl and he just about snarled when a long elegant hand that captured his large bicep. "What the hell was that all about?" Tiffany snarled with as she looked at the retreating back of the girl. "Freak human." She muttered.

"Don't you dare talk about her like that." Sarah snarled back, surprising them all with the venom in her voice. "Seth liked her. The least you can do is show some respect for his judgement." Sarah said and much to his annoyance because Seth had known his woman so in closely and pride that she had sparked such a fierce reaction in Sarah.

"Lets just go." Caroline tried to calm the rising tension. Despite the joy she felt in the light that lite up her eyes again she couldn't help but just want to have her best friend sit down and just relax.

"Fine." She sighed before cradling her hand to her chest before letting Caro take her elbow and lead her away with Cedric in tow.

"Who was that?" Caroline asked the question that had been eating away at Cedric since her first laid eyes on her.

"Amelia Todd?" Sarah asked sniffling slightly but the tears were gone.

"Yeah." Caroline frowned at her friend.

"She was friends with Seth. He spent all of his free time with her." She pause when she walked over the green manicured lawn that was in front of the small white church and glanced up at the clouds. The grey heavens looked like they were about to rain into the hot and humid air.

Cedric ground his teeth together and swallowed the grown that was rising from his chest.

"All I know is that he was protective of her." Sarah smiled down at her feet as she began to walk again. "He always got this smile when he talked about her." She glanced back at the church. "I know why now." She said with this far off look in her eyes.

"Now that I think of it. Thats the first time I've seen her talk to anyone other then Seth." Caroline commented keeping a careful eyes on Cedric to gauge his reaction to the news.

"Do you think she knows about us?" Cedric asked carefully calculating a plan to get his head to get his mate into his bed with his mark at his his side.

"It wouldn't surprise me." Sarah said quietly.

"Wouldn't she be running for the hills then?" Sarah muttered and Cedric stopped.

He had never considered that she would run. Ced couldn't bare the thought of never seeing his angel that had already found its way into many of the members heart and most importantly his. Failure wasn't an option with his precious mate. He had many plans for her and he wouldn't take no for an answer. Cedric would see to that.
