Chapter 17

Luke

"Luke, I bought an ice cream and it fell on the floor. I have no more money, please come to me and buy me another." I hear Calum in tears on the other end of the phone call. I sigh at his stupidity. "Bloody hell Cal, I thought you were in some type of emergency!" I yell into the phone, somewhat relieved he was OK.

"This is an emergency Luke. It was a triple scoop chocolate fudge ice cream Luke. This is very important. Go back to our hotel but turn left out of the building, there's a park with an ice cream shop." And with that he hangs up, I look at the locked phone in shock. 

I walk down to the hotel we were staying in, noticing a blonde girl and a boy with red hair making out in thee elevator. I feel the smile on my face turn upset down. I just hope Ashton gives those two a good talking to when they arrive in our hotel room.

I turn left like Calum told me, only to see a broken down park. A swing was detatched from it's chains, along with the slide to have a hole in it. I walk towards the slide, running my hand across the hole. I suddenly see the ice cream shop Calum was talking about. I begin to walk down the path, stepping on chocolate ice cream on the way.

"Calum." I say under my breath, rolling my eyes at his stupidity of dropping his treat. "Yes?" I hear behind me.

I turn around, seeing Calum walking behind me. "Calum? What are you doing here?" I ask him, genuinly confused as to why he would come here of all places to 'run away'.

"I got a bit lost whilst walking around." He shrugs, I shrug in return. "You had everyone worried." I lie, I could tell he was sad.

"Really Luke, or was it just you?" He lifts an eyebrow, eyeing me. "Ok, but still." He walks off, causing me to run after him. I grab his shoulder, forcing him to turn. Tears were brimming in his eyes.

"Cal, what's wrong?" We sit in the middle of the park, on the grass. "She doesn't even care does she?" He looks up at me, a huge frown sitting on his face.

"Who Calum?' I pat his back as he sniffles his nose. "Tiff, she's out with Michael right now, isn't she. She doesn't even know how upset I am." He wipes his eye, making his sleeve wet.

"I dunno what she's doing mate, I'm really sorry about all that's happened." I say, not really knowing how to help him. Sure he's my mate, but Tiff's my sister, my family. "It's not your fault, it' mine for not being good enough for her." He lies down, crushing my arm. I slowly pull it out from under hi back, running it through my hair.

"Do you want me to talk to her?" I ask, pulling out my phone. "Why not just ask her now?" Calum points down the road, straight at Michael and Tiffany.

Calum

Luke practically dragged Tiff and Michael over here, considering I refused to move. I stared up at the clouds, not even acknowledging their existence. "Calum?" I hear Luke say. I blink in return.

"Ugh, Luke he's just being a baby honestly, can we continue our shopping?" Tiffany whines. I squirm, reminding her I'm right here. "Tiff." I hear Michael whisper.

"What? He's acting like a child." Tiff throws her hands in the air. "He's not worth the time."

"TIFFANY! Calum is my best friend, and I will not let you talk about him like that. I don't know if you remember, but you broke his heart. You pretty much broke him, so I will not stand here and listen to you criticize him." At first I think it's Luke talking, until I realise it's Michael.

He lays down next to me, smiling a goofy smile. I can't help but hug him right then and there. "Thanks Mikey."

"Sorry to ruin your moment, but Michael kissed me back. As if you forgive him." Tiff rolls her eyes. I'm about to speak, until Luke beats me to it.

"Tiff, I understand you're my sister and everything, but you're being a real bitch. What has gotten into you?" Luke grabs Tiffany's shoulders, causing her to flinch.

"Luke, Mum died." Right then Tiff breaks down into Luke's chest, tears running our from Michael eyes as well. I feel my eyes watering, meanwhile Luke just stands there frozen.

"H-how?" He stammers. "Car accident." Tiff says, showing Luke the text she received from their father. Luke continued being frozen, no tears being shown.
