Chapter - 23

"It wasn't your fault. Don't pressurize your little brain. You have to grow up and then take care of her, huh? You know right?"

"I'll grow up and take care of her mama, I promise." He whispered out with a bright smile on his face.

Droplets of sweats formed in Jungkook's forehead, his hand clutched on the duvet tightly.

His breathing became ragged, his eyeballs were restless beneath his eyelids. He was trying to make his dry throat wet, gulping down again and again.

But, nothing was worth it, the flashbacks hit him like a nightmare as he became restless on the bed.

His chest was rising up and down, his grip tightened before his eyes were shot open and he sat up with the bed with a scream.

"Jia." His eyes were wide as if he was predicting the person right in front of him.

His tongue rolled over his dry lips as he gulped down again.

His heartbeat wasn't normal, it was racing like crazy, his eyeballs weren't calm.

"Jungkook." Siena hurriedly entered the room with Jimin behind her. Both of them entered the room and saw a restless Jungkook on the bed.

"Jungkook, you okay?" Siena asked, cupping his face gently, she caressed his cheeks.

"What happened? Why did you scream like that?" Jimin sat down beside Jungkook, keeping his hand on his brother's shoulder.

"Jia." Jungkook whispered out, his voice was low and trembling.

Siena became all confused from hearing a girl's name from his mouth while Jimin was serious and a fearful expression was on his face.

"Jia, I saw her. She, she was calling me and I saw the night when you and I were watching the stars and uncle." Jungkook trailed off, his hands trembled.

Siena watched them carefully, both had different expression in their faces. But, she didn't pressuring on it.

"You had nightmare?" The silver asked, his hand soothingly rubbed against the younger's back who gave him a little nod.

A heavy sigh left from the elder as he stood up and signalled Siena.

She got up and both of them went to a corner.

"I know you have questions and the name your heard. I don't know if he's gonna tell you when you are gonna examine again but I'll tell you, I just need time and also his permission if he's ready." Jimin's tone was soft yet serious.

Siena nodded slowly, understanding the situation.

She looked at Jungkook, who was looking at his hands which were trembling slightly, his body sweaty.

"I won't pressurize on him." She said, her eyes never left the younger.

Jimin nodded and spoke out, "I need to go home for a moment. Kath is all alone and Yoongi hyung is also coming with his halameoni."

"I know and the things happened with them too is terrible. You shouldn't leave Katherine alone." Jimin nodded in aggreement as he looked at Jungkook once more.

"I'll go now, I don't want to talk to him right now. But, you can and he will listen to you. I'll come back as soon as possible." Jimin whispered out, Siena nodded at him before he made his way towards Jungkook.

"Kook, I'm going to home for a moment. Katherine is all alone, so I have to go." Jungkook looked up at his brother, his eyes were emotionless.

The younger nodded briefly, earning a pat on his shoulder from his brother, he sighed heavily.
