Leo closed the door of his room behind him and sat down at the lone desk in his room. The doctor had ordered him to get some bedrest, but he needed to begin his preparations. Marie had mentioned that they intended to begin the second rayshift within a few days to try and capitalize on the momentum while they had the chance. He couldn't be sure how much time he had, so he needed to prepare and practice as much as possible during the next 2 days.

As Leo pulled out his book, his door slid open, allowing Oberon to enter the doorway.

"Ah, I thought I might find you here, Master!" Oberon said brightly.

"I thought you were making friends with the other Servants," Leo sighed.

"Unfortunately, they were all busy or not interested in spending time with me."

Oberon sprawled out on the bed, looking almost put out.

"Except for Muramasa, but he is stuck as the Director's assistant."

"So you have decided to come to bother me instead?"

"I was hoping we could spend some quality time together, Master. What do you think?"

"Some of us are too busy to spend 'quality time' together. I need to prepare for the next Singularity."

"I was wondering about that."

Oberon sat up, positioning himself on the end of the bed. He rested his chin in his hand and smiled innocently.

"What can you tell me about the next Singularity Master? Since you want me to prepare and all that."

"... I am told this one is larger than the last one. Based on its location, both spatial and temporal, it appears to be set during the reign of the Roman Empire."

"Ah, Master, that wasn't what I was talking about. I am talking about your ability to predict the future."

Leo froze for a second, processing what Oberon had said. He turned around and looked at his Servant.

"Ah, you are finally looking at me, Master. I wondered what it would take to get your attention."

"...What makes you think I can predict the future?"

"Master, let's not dance around it, yes? I am your closest friend after all."

Oberon raised his hand and began to recite a list, flicking down his fingers one by one.

"You knew about Berserker in Fuyuki prior to meeting him in person. You knew Lev Lainur would attack after the King of Knights was defeated. When we first saw wyverns in France, you acted all surprised to Ophelia Phamrsolone, but I saw your initial reaction. You were calm and prepared; you had expected them. Finally, when we met Gilles in Castle Orleans, you continued to assess the situation with clarity, without any surprise that our most stalwart ally was also our ultimate enemy. Indeed, if one assumes you knew all along, that explains your often strange behaviour around Gilles during our journey."

Oberon shrugged and leaned back on the bed with a smile.

"If I hadn't been able to guess that you had such an ability with so many hints, I would be disappointed in myself."

"... I see. I didn't realise you had been paying such close attention to me during our journey."

Leo sighed and rubbed his temples. He had been trying his best to avoid people making that guess. The drastic changes that Orleans had undergone compared to the version he knew had helped, but he had still tried to act surprised where appropriate. And the person he had wanted to avoid discovering his foreknowledge was now sitting across from him.
