I found a new get away. Its a place not many go to, for it is located near an industrial area surrounded by a creek on three sides then on the other side is the railroads.
People don't like the bugs here.
I think the place is like a visit to a distant past.
The only noise from this current world is the occasional train, besides that it's perfect.
There's plenty of ground to simply walk around and not have to go near others.
Around the area is two large open areas for soccer, football, etc.... , there's a track to walk, a baseball field, parking for automobiles, and a good sized roofed area that has several picnic tables. The plus side is that non of these areas overlap.
There's a bridge right beside the track, it goes over the creek and makes the track continue for quite a ways.
I don't like this additional path, it continues back to the current world.
The only thing to really worry about is the wasps and poisonous spiders.
They don't bother people, as long as you don't start freaking out at seeing them.
On a side note, I saw this group of girls get chased by a wasp for they swatted at the thing first. They ran for a while, well till they reached their car. They left shortly after.
It's a long walk to reach this sanctuary but with earbuds listening to whatever song fits my mood, the walk doesn't seem to take that long.
This sanctuary is great, since only a few go there. I can actually relax without disturbances. With the sound of nature, it's really easy to get wrapped up in my own thoughts.
Glad I carry a watch or I would probably be there all day. Sense of time is bad when distracted by anything.
