Chapter 2 Lets get the party started

I love feedback, as this is my first time sharing my writes! The more feedback i get the more I'll be inspired to write! This one is short and kind of only a half chapter but i wanted to give you something now!

Katie's POV

Lily dragged me over to my walk in closet and grabbed my dress; We had went dress shopping weeks ago. Lilly then pulled me over to the bathroom and shoved me in it "Okay take a quick shower Katie! I'll be back in a few minutes! I just need to go downstairs and make sure everything is going alright" Then Lily skipped right out of my room shutting the door behind her. Lily was taking care of all the arrangements and wasn't letting me know about anything! I live in a really big 2 story house out in the woods a ways. It was only Lily and me living her now since my "father figure" left almost two years ago. Everything of his he turned over to me; The house, cars, and money.

The house was suppose to be a house for me and my Beta... But i still don't have a Beta. No male in the pack wants to be my Beta. I want Lily to be my Beta but she at least needs a mate first.

So only two out of six bedrooms are used upstairs. Downstairs is the kitchen, living room, den (no not cave like! just a sitting room), game room, and my office. The pool is right outside the back of the house. Which from the sounds of it that is also where Lily has the Band setting up.

I turn the shower on and strip out of all my clothes. Quickly getting in to stand under the hot water. I'm really not looking forward to this party at all! Lily didn't only invite people from our pack. She thinks it would be best to allow other packs to come and see me as well. I'm not some kind of celebrity or anything among the packs, It's more like i'm hated. The females are mostly all jealous while the males are all annoyed that i'm a female Alpha leading a whole pack on my own. My pack is fine with that! But geez other packs think it's the end of the world that i'm a lone female Alpha.

I just don't need the extra stress of other packs coming into my territory right now. Lily knows this, so i just don't understand her actions. The Red River pack is just pushing way to close to my territory. It's going to become an all out war soon. And the Alpha of the pack refuses to even have a meeting with me! He only sends his Beta to do all the talking! The only reason is because i'm a female Alpha and he thinks i'm below him!

"Katie!!! It's been almost 30 minutes!!! OUT OUT OUT!!!" Lily starts shouting through the door "Okay Lily i'm out!" I shut of the water and step out of the shower. Quickly drying off i the slip on my bra and panties then my dress. Opening the bathroom door i almost run right into Lily who looked like she was about to start knocking on the door again

"Oh Katie!!! That dress looks B-E-A-U-TI-FUL!!! Turn all around so i can see it!!" I turn a slow 360 for her, laughing a bit at her joy. The dress is amazing! It's a strapless black dress with a red ribbon that goes around below the chest and ties in the back. It only comes to above the knees; fitting tight on the top all the way to my hips where is flares out a little. It's classy not slu**y!

"Okay hair time!!! Come sit down!!" I go over and sit in a chair in front of the mirror like Lily wanted. She already has on her blue and yellow dress that looks perfect on her. With all her long blonde hair pulled up into a bun with little bangs hanging down in the front.

30 mins later...

"There all done!! What do you think?" Lily turns the chair back around so i'm facing the mirror again. My hair is half up half down with some long loose curls her and there. "Oh Lily it's wonderful! Thank you!" I say while getting up and hugging her tight. She really knows me well, I like to keep my looks simple and classy. I get enough attention and i don't want to add more to it.

"Okay Katie you ready to come down to the party now?" Lily asks with a huge grin on her face "As ready as I'll ever be! Just let me grab my shoes!" I reply laughing a little. Lily's joy is so contagious that you just have to be in the same room with her to get happy. I slip on my black ankle high dress boots and skip over to Lily. Looping arms together we make our way down the stairs. The house is all quiet but i can hear people outside by the pool.

We walk out the kitchen door in the back and i'm greeted by everyone singing "Happy Birthday"! This is the first time I've actually had a real birthday party, before it's only been Lily and me on my birthday. A massive white cake is brought forward and i blow out the candles. Everyone claps and cheers while i'm pulled into the crowd with hugs from my pack. I can feel happy tears starting up and i quickly wipe them away before anyone can see them. When the crowd finally releases me Lily hands me a plate of cake and ice cream. I grab Lily into a tight hug and whisper "Thank you so much Lily" she hugs back tighter and replies "You deserve it all Katie!" We break apart and start eating cake and ice cream.

When we're done eating Katie pulls me over to the deck were the band is playing and we start dancing away...
