"So y'all are all looking at natural life but I can try to bump your sentence down to 20 without possible parole. Being that you and Dejon both have eye witnesses it's gonna be tough but imma gonna put in my all. But for now we need to talk about these murder. Don't lie to me or I'm not going to be able to help so I'm gonna ask questions and answer them honestly. He said I nodded before there was a knock on the door. He got up and was face to face with Dejons lawyer. They exchanges some words but I got a text from bri so I wasn't paying attention.

Me- Aye chill all tht sht out man✋. Iono how WE got caught when we was about to start talking somebody knocked on the door. What I wanna know is how Mia got caught but the rest of y'all didn't. But I'll ttyl

I put my phone down as Dejon and Mia sat next to me my lawyer sat across the table in his seat joined by Dejon's so I guess they was working together.

" Hey I'm Deandre Williams." Their lawyer said reaching his hand out to me, I took it and mine and gave him a strong shake while imdroducing myself. I told him to call me Brian. I hated being called by my last name it mad me feel old.

"Well let's start" he said pulling out his manila folder and Mr. Wright did the the same they looked over the informmation on the first three pages before finally speaking to us.

" So were are gonna start with the devantae case. When the house was search they found the case of weapons. One of them had the DNA on it. The weapon was a samurai sword which the fingerprints from the three of you were found which meant you were suspects." Mr. Williams spoke.

" I thought you cleaned them" Dejon said looking at me.

" I thought I cleaned all of them but I guess I forgot that one."

"Damn be you fucked up we looking at two counts of natural life Brian.. do you know what the fuck that mean? WE NOT EVER SEE FREEDOM AGAIN NIGGA. IMA MISS MY SON FUCKING GROWING UP NIGGA. EVEN IF HE CAN GET US THESE 20 YEARS MY SON STILL GON GROW UP WITHOUT HIS PARENTS NIGGA THATS FUCKED UP." Dejon ranted

"NIGGA IMMA MISS MY DAUGHTER GROWING UP TO THE FUXK YOU THINK YOU THE ONLY ONE WITH A BABY. AT LEAST YOU GOT TO SEE HIM TAKE HIS FIRST STEP. SPEAK HIS FIRST WORD YOU GOT TO SEE HE VALUABLE MOMENTS IMMA FUCKING MISS SO DONT PULL THAT SHIT ON ME CUZZ SHE FROWING WITH OUT A FATHER FIGURE--" I yelled back getting angry at the simple fact that he mad that he about to miss out on his developing into a man. Like nigga I gotta kid to and it a girl. Girl that grow up without father turn out to be hoes on drugs and I don't need that.

"NIGGA MY SON GONE BE WITH BOTH HIS PARENTS. AT LEAST VEAH GOT BRI. BRI gon handle that veah gon grow up a1."

"Y'all need to calm this shit down we all fucked up we should have Neva did it but we did and we paying the consequences. So shut up so he can finish going threw the evidence." Mia said she had a little annoyance in her tone. I understood why so I shut up.

"Thank you Mrs.Johnson They also found a piece of a t-shirt that had both devantae and Mr.Johnson DNA in it also when they visited Devantae's house there was a key in the door when they did fingerprinting they found your print on it also. When they found his body in the river chained to the cement blocks both of you two prints were found on them. So we are gonna start from this case." He continued.

"So what happen that night from the beginning?" Mr. Wright asked. I looked at Dejon to start speaking but Mia started.

"well the night before Cookie had found out that Tae had killed Chris so she called me crying. I felt some type of way about that so I told Dejon that I wanted revenge. At first he was hesitant on doing hit but I kept at it and eventually convinced him to." She lied I looked at Dejon and he looked like he was about to say something.

" Mia wh-" he started.

" Dejon let me finish."

"nahh cuz- "

"Dejon please."

"Man whatever"

"So he called Brian and we put together our little plan. The plan was hey would get him from his house and bring him to the house and I would play with the samurai sword then dump his body in the river to keep from getting caught but as you can see that didn't work." She said

"So can you go in to detail on 'play with the samurai sword?'" Mr. Wright asked.

"so when they had him chained up I came in and Brian gave me the sword explain his fingerprints I guess. I jus put small cuts on him and cut his foot off. Then I told Dejon to hold the sword so I could talk to tae without hurting him. Which is why his prints are on it." She answered.

"okay that explains the foot but in the file it says when they found the body it states that a foot and his genitals were missing. What happened with that?" Mr. Williams asked.

" I don't know they fish must have mistaken it for a worm." She said in the most innocent voice with a smirk on her face. I chuckled and put my face in my hands.
