The Infection from hell

Ch.5

This mysterious girl named Harper helped me to my feet. I try to say thank you but she runs to her car. I then notice the roars of the crowd have gotten louder. I look to my right and see a hoard of infected running my way. Harper run towards me but with a toddler in her hands. She gets in the back my truck and screams,"DRIVE!" I Hop in the car and turn left and drive on the side of the road. As I'm speeding on the side of the highway I then remember my family cabin that is on the lake is only a couple miles down the road. I push the gas pedal with all my strength down. I'm at least going 90 miles per hour. I'm dogging screaming people and the infected. Titus is barking at Harper and the toddler in the back seat. It is total chaos. It usually takes me 10 minutes to get to the the cabin but it only took me 3 minutes at the most. I quickly hop out and get a spare key hidden under some logs by the front door. I slam the door open and back to the truck to get Nick and titus. Harper hops out with the toddler in her hands and jogs in the cabin. I turn around and see Fredrick grabbing the bags full of our supplies. At first I thought he was taking them because of his history with the police. But he was actually helping me. He was taking the bags inside. I nodded at him and he nodded back. I grabbed nicks wheelchair and put it inside. I quietly crank up the car and move it to the back of the cabin. I run in through the back door. Right when I walk in I see Harper pacing back in forth. She looks at me and and rudely says," we're screwed,There probably is a hoard  just a mile from here,there is no T.V.'s,Radios, or phones working. I quickly reply,"it all going to be okay. We have food and water," I point to the bag."everything will be alright."no it won't" Harper yelled. Her mascara was still runny from her tears. Fredrick shushes is and looks out the window. He back away from the window with wide eyes and quietly states,"we have company." I look out the window and see at least 30 infected limping towards the cabin.
