Meanwhile, back at the Shah house, Baa paced angrily while Vanraj sat in his usual chair, frustration evident on his face.
"Kya samajhti hai yeh Anupamaa?" Baa muttered. "Aise ghar todkar nikal gayi aur ab azadi ka jhanda leke ghoom rahi hai!"
Vanraj slammed his cup down. "Aur sab uska saath de rahe hain! Devika, Samar... aur ab Kinjal bhi?"
Kavya, sitting nearby, smirked. "Vanraj, ab samajh mein aaya? Anupamaa akele nahi hai. Jitna aap log usse neecha dikhane ki koshish karenge, utna hi woh aur strong hote jaayegi."
Vanraj clenched his jaw. He had always thought that Anupamaa would crumble without the Shah family.
But instead, she was thriving.
And for the first time, he felt powerless.
Baa huffed. "Kuch toh karna padega! Yeh aur zyada hawa mein udne se pehle usey niche lana hoga."
Vanraj's eyes darkened. "Ab Anupamaa ko rokna zaroori ho gaya hai."
As the sun set, Anupamaa walked along the road, the city lights twinkling around her.
She could feel it—the resistance, the backlash, the attempts to break her confidence.
But she wasn't afraid.
For years, she had been conditioned to live for others.
Now, she was finally living for herself.
And no matter what the Shah house planned, no matter how much society judged—
She was not going back.
The night breeze was crisp as Anupamaa walked home, her heart steady despite knowing the storm that was brewing at the Shah house. She had spent years dreading their anger, adjusting herself to fit into their expectations.
But today?
Today, she walked taller.
Back at the Shah house, the tension was thick. Vanraj paced the living room, his face tight with frustration.
"Kya zaroorat thi Baa aapko wahan jaane ki?" he snapped. "Uska dimaag aur zyada kharab ho gaya hai!"
Baa, sitting on the sofa, scoffed. "Toh kya karti, chup rehti? Woh aurat poori duniya ke saamne nach rahi hai! Log mazaak udayenge humara!"
Toshu, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke up. "Baa theek keh rahi hain, Papa. Mummy toh apne nayi duniya me kho gayi hain. Unhe humari parwah hi nahi hai."
Kavya, sitting with her arms crossed, smirked. "Toshu, ek baat batao—tum logon ne kabhi Anupamaa ki parwah ki thi? Ya sirf tab jab uski zaroorat thi?"
Toshu shot her a glare. "Kavya, mujhe tumse koi advice nahi chahiye."
Kavya shrugged. "Fine. Par ek baat samajh lo—Anupamaa ab woh bechari aurat nahi hai jo tum sabke taane sunegi. Tum jitna usse neeche dikhane ki koshish karoge, woh utni hi upar jayegi."
Vanraj clenched his fists. "Upar jane nahi dena hai!" His voice was laced with anger.
Baa nodded. "Haan! Abhi bhi waqt hai, usey samjhana hoga."
Kavya laughed. "Baa, samjhana nahi... aap kehna chah rahi hain ki dabana hoga. Par problem yeh hai ki ab Anupamaa dabne waalon me se nahi rahi."
Vanraj's jaw tightened. He wasn't ready to accept that.
Anupamaa ko rokna hoga.
The next morning, Anupamaa was at Nrityanjali, preparing for a session, when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
