You sat down on your bed sighing as you finished reading your favorite story of all time, Castion. A fictional book about fairies, and they were way cooler than you'd think. The fairies looked like humans, even though they were way more attractive, smarter (though some acted dumber than the people you had to go to school with.), and had powers.
Your favorite character in particular, Gray Noir, was everything you wanted in a person that was actually real but could never have.
He was a sarcastic little fuck, but a sweetheart when he was worried. He was more of a silent type, except around his friend Doe (another main character, girl) and then he'd open up. He was quite handy with his twin iron blades and could summon a giant glowing gold lion that could either give you a ride or rip you to shreds.
In short, he was awesome.
"Why can't these be be?" you muttered, holding the book close to yourself, closing your eyes.
"(Y/N)! We're going out for the weekend, remember?" your mom called from down the hall and you nodded. "Yeah, mom, I know!" "There's Ramen in the cupboard, and fifty dollars for pizza so don't use it up!" you dad yelled, and you grinned. Pizza, your one true love, it was real, didn't talk back, and was always there for you. "Awesome, love you!" you called, and you heard then leave and their car roll down the driveway.
The whole weekend, to yourself. "Yessssssss." you grinned, pulling out your phone and realize that a party would be super lame with only three people there so you tossed it on your bed.
Then you pulled your laptop onto the bed with your charger and muttered, "When in doubt, go to the fanfictions."
For around an hour you sat there, reading drables by some of your favorite author's, not just on Gray (mostly on Gray) but on other things too.
For the past couple of years you'd gotten yourself antiquated with all things nerd, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Narnia (even if it was only the movies...), Supernatural, Legend of Korra, Fairy Tail, etc. ect.
Most people's parents would get onto them for sneaking out...not your parents. You got in trouble for staying up until four in the morning on Tumblr. Or reading, or binge watching. God your life was sad.
"Time for some fresh air." you muttered, getting up and stretching, nobody was posting and you were too lazy to blog yourself so some fresh air would probably do you some good.
Outside was a drab day, gray cirrus clouds blanketed the sky, making the sun look like a pale pearl and the trees around your porch didn't help things either.
Then you heard footsteps running down the street, which was odd because where you lived felt strangely empty for the past couple of days.
Since this was so odd, you strained your neck to look at who was coming. Don't be creepy. You scolded yourself, still watching.
Then your heart nearly stopped, "No way." you whispered, eyes widening.
It looked like Gray Noir, exactly down to the finest detail on how he'd been described in the story. There's no way though, right?
He looked at the mailboxes which were sitting across from each house, frowning at each one and then sprinting to the next one.
Finally he came to your mail box, he looked at yours then at your house and his eyes landed on you. He gave a small sigh and walked up the driveway, shoving his hands in his black leather jacket pockets. Again, Gray Noir had a black leather jacket (it was a birthday gift from his father just two weeks before his parents died in a huge battle between the two fairy colonies!) Maybe it was just a coincidence but the likeness was uncanny.
