"Okay, love you, mom." Emma said, and her mom replied. All of them were told to come home. Amir and Naufal still glared at each other but agreed to proceed with Emma's idea about finding the original book.
2 days later, Saturday
They packed their stuff and placed them in Naufal's car. They went inside and began their journey.
Finally, they arrived at Emma's house. They just live in the neighbourhood, beside each other's house, since all of them were cousins, so they decided to spend the weekend at Emma's house. The housemaids went outside and carried their luggage. Datin Sri Fatimah went outside the house too and immediately hugged her daughter.
"I miss my sweet little missy." She said.
"I miss you too, mom." Emma replied while pulling from the hug. The others smiled, looking at them.
"Hi Mak Long." They said, smiling at her, then kissed her hand. Fatimah smiled back and asked them to come inside the house.
"The rooms are done for you. Dinner's at 8, so come downstairs when you are ready." She said.
"Alright, mom."
"Alright, Mak Long." They said in unison.
"Is he'll be here?" Daiyan asked. Fatimah shook her head slowly. They looked at each other with a disappointing face.
"Oh, your parents will have dinner too. We decided to brief you about something." Fatimah then told and walked to the kitchen to monitor the maids. They looked at each other again and raised their eyebrows.
"Okay.." Amir said. They head upstairs to their rooms. Naufal noticed that Daiyan still looks upset. He tapped her shoulder gently and gave a warm smile to comfort her. She slightly smiled back to him. Nodded to ensure him that she's okay.
Emma went inside her room. She sat on the chair near the study desk. She sighed. Emma stood up and got ready to take a shower.Four of them took some rest and got ready. They agreed to gather at the third floor at 6 p.m. Emma and Daiyan are standing in the hallway, waiting for the boys. They saw Naufal and Amir heading to them.
"Okay, I think the book's gotta be in the library room." Emma said, slowly to avoid anyone to hear. They looked around to see if there's anybody on the third floor.
"How could you know?" Naufal held Emma's shoulder before they went inside. Emma stopped and turned to look at him.
"I saw them placed it in here." She replied, whispering. They continued to go inside the room. The room was big and there's a lot of books. They've been inside the library room before, but they never knew about the original cult book.
"Alright. Let's find the book." Amir said. They searched it from section to section.Last Friday
The police went outside the car and began the investigation.
"That's where we found his bike." Inspector Zali remembered what Zulaikha said. He walked towards the victim's bike. The forensics were taking photos of the bike and the road while he bent down as he saw a piece of something that he knew. He wore a pair of gloves and took out plastic. He reached for the piece that he saw and put it in the plastic. He stood up and called the others for a short brief.
"Listen up. The others will stay here to investigate and then get back to IPD. Release the K9 to search for the body. Fuad, with me. Are we clear?"
"Yes, sir." Fuad and the others replied. Two other police officers released the K9 and got them ready. The K9 began to track the body. Zali and Fuad were walking in the woods with the dogs and other officers, holding up their guns. While they're behind the dogs, Zali felt like a figure was standing 10 ft away from him on the right. He immediately stopped and turned to the right, still holding up his guns. Fuad frowned as he saw that. He stopped too and stood beside Zali. Zali just stared at a boy. His body and mouth were full of blood. His face looks just like in the picture Asyraff showed to him.
"Sir, what's wrong?" Fuad still holds up his guns, pointing to the same direction as Zali. Zali didn't respond and just stared while panting. Fuad looked in front of him and saw nothing but trees. He was confused.
The boy just stayed quiet and then pointed his finger to the river, where his body was dumped. Zali then turned to look at the direction the boy was pointing. The boy disappeared when he looked back. He's stunned. He pulled back the guns and stood normally. Fuad did the same, even though he's still confused.
"Are you okay?" Fuad asked. Zali was sweating, catching his breath. He nodded.
"Inspector Zali, Sergeant Fuad!" The officers and the K9 have found Hadif's body. They quickly went to the river. Zali was stunned after he saw the body. It's the boy he saw earlier. He sighed.
"Get the medic team. Now." Zali ordered.
"Yes, sir." The others replied.
