Double the love

Chapter three

Liam thought that after his conversation with Brandon that things would go back to some what normal. He was wrong.

Brandon seems to be even more closed off than he normally is. Liam doesn't know what to do anymore. He tried to take the boys to the carnival in town but the only one who enjoyed himself was Johnny.

He bought the boys each something that they really enjoy. Johnny a new football and Brandon a sketchpad with new color pencils. Of course Johnny loved his new ball and he really thought Brandon would get excited about his new pad. Again he was way off.

He's in his office thinking about what else he can possibly do to try and bring Brandon out of his shell again when there's a knock.

"Come in."

In walks Mr.Malik.

"Sir how can I help you?"

"Mr.Payne I have something for your boys."

Liam doesn't know what to say. It's already a surprise that Mr.Malik is in his office for the second time and then to come in and say he has something for his sons? This doesn't seem real.

"My sons?"

Mr.Malik just stares at him for a moment. No emotion is written on his face. "I had gotten my younger sisters tickets to go to Disney world but they have exams that they have to do. I didn't want the tickets to go to waste and I thought your boys would like them."

"Tickets to Disney World?" Mr. Malik nods. Liam stutters, "T-That's on the other side of the world Sir."

Mr. Malik nods his head once again, "My sisters aren't very fond of the one in Paris." Liam can see he tries to fight an eye roll. 

Liam doesn't know what to say to this. It's all too much to take in. "Sir it's great of you to want to do this but the boys still have school and their break isn't until December. Not to mention it's not really in my budget to be spending money on plane tickets," Liam rants. He has been wanting to take the boys on a big vacation but there hasn't been time. And especially not under these circumstances. He looks down before saying, "I'm going to have to decline Mr. Malik."

Mr. Malik just stares at him. His feels nervous because he knows Mr. Malik isn't one to be told no.

"I think they can wait until then. You won't need to worry about buying plane tickets. I'll have my pilot fly you and the boys over," he says nonchalant.

Liam's mouth opens and closes. Like always Mr. Malik seems to make him lose his words. "Mr.Malik again this is great and I am grateful that you would even consider doing this but it's too much."

"Are you declining my gift a second time Mr. Payne?" Liam stutters but is cut off, "Because as your employer I've seen that you have been in this company since it first started. I am just trying to show my gratitude towards you."

Liam still feels unsure and he knows he'll be on Mr. Malik's bad side if he declines a third time.

"Well Mr.Payne."

"I'll tell the boys once I pick them up from school. Mr. Malik I can't thank you enough for this. Really I'll make sure to put in more work hours from here till then Sir."

Mr. Malik shakes his head, "None of that Mr. Payne. You put in enough hours. " Liam reluctantly nods his head.

With that said Mr. Malik gets up and walks out of his office.

Liam lets out a sigh. The boys will be so excited. Well he knows Johnny will. Maybe he'll finally get a reaction out of Brandon if he tells him Zayn was the one who gave them the trip. He'll just have to wait to find out.
