" I should probably get your number if we're planning to go." He said with a nervous look.
There it is.. It seems as if it came out as liquid, just accidentally slipped out.
He seemed to be blushing and I suppose I was too. I didn't feel as nervous as I thought I would have been. It's really strange considering that I hadn't see it coming, I just knew that James wanted us to talk.
He opened his mouth to say something then quickly closed it.
"Yeah, um definitely." I said reaching for my phone.
We quickly exchanged numbers.
"I'm going to text my foster mother right now." I said pulling out my phone again.
(Text)Me: Hey, Gina. I was wondering if I could go to this concert that a friend invited me to?
I looked back up to Tyler who was still looking at me. He quickly looked away.
(Text)Gina: of course! I have to know when, where and what time you're leaving.
I looked up to Tyler.
"She said I could go but she wants to know when."
"Nice, it's on Friday the twenty fifth, it's about thirty minutes from here and we're leaving around four because the spots are first come first serve."
"Ok."
(Text)Me: it's on Friday , it's 30mins from here and we leave at 4 so we could get good spots.
Gina: that's fine, will you be staying over?
Me:I don't think so.
Gina:ok :)
Woah... Staying over? I just .. No.. I can't.
"Do you have a curfew?" He asks.
"Not really..."
" good because we're gonna be there pretty late not including the drive back."he laughed
"Oh." I smiled.
"Guuuyyyyyyssss!" James zoomed in from the hallway with his eyes glued to his cell phone screen.
He was very talented in many ways , one of them was running towards us without looking away from his phone. I'm such a clumsy person, I couldn't even do that without paying attention to something else. It's sad in all honesty.
"Guess what?" He said while texting.
"What?" Tyler and I said in sync
"I have a date to the concert! Fuck yeah!" He said jumping up and down still looking at his phone.
"Really? Who?" Tyler asked.
"Juliet."
"Dude there's like four Juliets and two of them are cousins."
"I know.. It happens." he said laughing.
"So which one?"
"The one with the piercings."
"Nice..."
"Have you found anyone to go with yet?" James said
"Yeah, I'm going with you guys." He said laughing nervously.
"Yeah but... Like a date?"he nudged Tyler with his elbow.
"Hey , how about you two go together? Like as friend or whatever you want... Or like as an actual date or like I said, whatever you want. The point is, Alex is your plus one.." He said raising his eyebrows.
James...you little shit.
