It's been a week since that day in the ok inn... We have found little supplies an are running low.. There's just enough to live on and it's getting bad. The days feel hotter than usual, the days are longer, and the air thinner. I find breathing to be harder with each passing cycle of the sun and I don't understand why. My gas mask doesn't help anymore either. It used to help slightly with the air but now... The harsh elements tear into my lungs and it hurts.

Aside from the climate change, I have finally figured out the name of the three who stumbled upon me so long ago. The boy, or, man, his name is Jonathan. He's a stand up guy, a strong leader, and he cares about these two, the girls. I also learned that they are the only family he has left, both his sisters, and all three had to witness the death of their parents... I feel bad for them, what they had to experience. They were actually emotionally tied to these people and they had to watch and they were torn apart and slaughtered by bandits and their mutts...

The girl, the red head, her name is Alice, or ally for short. She's shy at first, and quiet through and through. She is quick and fast to find supplies. She's also the youngest and most vulnerable to emotion. She's only 14 and unstable. Since the death of her parents, she's been scarred and afraid of most people. She's a treat to talk to when you can get her to speak. Until then, however, dot expect her to have a conversation with you for more than 2 sentences. All in all, she's in this for them, for her family, and nothing can change that.

Bree, the one with black hair. Second oldest at 16. She is strong, loud, and likes to state her opinion. She won't hold anything back and she's sceptical of people. She stands proud behind her brother and thinks of herself as co-leader. She's also cold... She didn't care about her parents, so when they died she watched with a smile. Her emotions are hard to track as her hatred for most things, besides her brother and sister, is equal. I can't learn much about her as she won't let anyone in, not even her family. She frightens me the most and I'll be sure to watch her carefully.

We took refuge from the night in an old, warn down house. A few windows are intact and the doors and walls are secure, but it doesn't feel right. Most if the windows are so filthy that a thorough cleaning wouldn't help, and breaking them is near impossible. We managed to find a few cans of food and a large assortment of water stashed away in a bottom cabinet. All in all, I still don't want to stay in this old, dust ridden, creaky, skin crawling, to good to be true house. We are leaving as soon as everything is together, however, and that makes me happy.

"What do you mean "it's no big deal" it's a huge deal!" I hear Jonathan down the hallway.
Their arguing again. For fucks sake, that's the fourth time in two days. I'm getting suck of it.

"Well I'm sorry I found no sympathy for the two but y'all did. It's not my fault she was emotionally scarred for life" replies Bree with a nonchalant tone to her overly calm voice. I don't like where this is going.

Suddenly I feel a body slide down next to me in the living area. I look over to see ally surprisingly.

"You alright?" Is all I can ask as I see a tear running down her cheek. I wipe it away softly and pull her into a hug. It might be the brotherly instinct or fatherly, but I just want her to not cry.

A few moments latter ages sobbing into my coat as Jonathan rounds the corner, his face red as the sun. Once he sees ally, however, his entire expression changes and he's instantly down holding onto her as well, saying he's sorry and that he didn't mean for it to get that bad.

After a few minutes or so, she calms down and stands up slowly. I stand up with her to make sure she's alright before she turns and slaps the ever living hell outta Jon and all I can do is laugh my ass off. It was so hilarious I almost fell from laughing so hard.

"Don't do that again! Please..." She says in a small, innocent, pleading tone... All Jon can do is shake his head in agreement slowly with a look of shock and surprise.

"Well... Uh, we uh, we should go right?" I ask gasping for air from laughing so hard.

"Yeah, yeah let's head out" Jonathan says and he stands up from the crouching position he was in, his black eyes still wide with surprise.

After about an hour or so, we finally get everything together and head out from the place that made me most uncomfortable I'm this desolate pice of shit for land we call a planet.

As were walking, I notice a sign off behind a few trees and I turn my head slightly to look at it.

"Hey, what's that guys?" I ask, pointing over in the direction of the thing that looms over the trees as if it were the owner of the land.

"I think it's a shop sign, maybe produce store, no real point in checking it out being as, there's a good chance it's already been ransacked and searched." Says ally with an edge to her voice.

"Couldn't hurt to check it anyways, maybe they forgot something" says Jonathan with confidence in his voice.

"It couldn't be a bad idea, plus I could use a rest, the fact of the matter is, I think it's getting hotter, and the days slightly longer. It might be a good idea to take shelter for a bit" I say looking at the group who is nodding in agreement with sweat running down their faces.

We start that way, trudging along tiredly. We get to the trees and stop for a second to catch our breaths before we continue on to the faded blue an white building. There are cracks all over the walls and pavement surrounding the building but all I see is cool shade on the inside and I walk slightly faster towards the door.

Once inside, the light quickly dims and I have to squint whilst my eyes adjust to the lighting. The inside has lots of shelves and various counters covered in dust and grit. I plop down on a chair that's up against the wall. I don't even see where the others go before I'm out and everything is black.

After a little while I wake up to the feeling of being dragged across a smooth-ish floor. I open my eyes but my sight is gone after a few inches. It's blocked off by some fabric that holds a tight mesh. I try to move my hands but am met with sharp pain in my wrist the moment I apply pressure. I start to breath heavier before I hear, "hey, ones awake, deal with him" and then everything's black again. All I remember is pain, ringing, then nothing... Just bliss.
