5 Years Later...

"Ciel! Why are you always cooped up in that office of yours?" I asked, pounding on his door. I was hoping to maybe take him out on the town but he simply won't leave his stingy office. He spends all his time in there now a days...ever since the incident. Sometimes I wish we could just be kids again.

I heard the door knob click, and a very annoyed Ciel popped out of the dark abyss that is his quarters. He looked as ravishing as ever, his blue eye standing out from his eye patch, his bluish black hair falling slightly in his eyes, he surely did grow up well.

"I'm working (Y/N). Unlike you, I actually have stuff I need to get done." He said, slightly angry, but his voice still calm. How does he do that? Stay so cool and in control in a situation. I rolled my eyes at the comment.

"I have stuff to do Phantomhive, I just know that if you keep doing this to yourself you're going to stress yourself out! Not to mention gain a few from sitting around all day." I said, poking his stomach playfully at the last part. Ciel glared at me and rubbed his stomach.

"We are not 10 anymore (Y/N), stress is a part of our life now. And if you can not handle it then I suggest you marry someone with a lot of money." Ciel said sternly, Shutting the door with a thud. I sighed ad accepted my defeated. He used to smile so much, used to open up to me. But now all he does is shut me out and show no emotion. Does he even know how madly in love with him I am? Is he even capable of loving anymore?

I pushed those thoughts aside and decided to go try and help in the kitchen. Sebastian has been teaching me how to cook since I was 12 so i'm already well above Baldroy's skills in cooking. I don't know how but somehow Bard managed to burn his food and have raw spots! Gotta admit though, that certainly does take skill.

"Hey Sabby, need any help?" I asked, using the nickname I have given the man. Sebastian was the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He was always so graceful with everything he does, and his deep red eyes always seemed to hypnotize woman, including Mey-Rin. Actually, especially Mey-Rin! Every time she's around the butler she's even more clumsy then usual. And the way Sebastian acts he doesn't seem very interested in finding a mate at all.

"That would be lovely Lady (Y/N)." Sebastian said, putting his gloved hand over his heart and bowing. I smiled and took to preparing the berries for the Strawberry Tart that Sebastian was preparing for the young lord. I had to wash them and then simply cut off the tops of each one.

"You are fifteen now correct? So is the young master." Sebastian commented, working the dough for the Tart. That is true, Ciel's birthday is just a day before mine. We used to celebrate all the time, we hung up streamers, ordered cake, danced, and even played board games. But now he doesn't even allow anyone to say happy birthday to him, all because of what happened that night.

"Yes, that is true. 3 more years until we are full adults...where did the time go?" I answered, whispering the last part. I picked up the berries and walked next to Sebastian, putting half in the mixture he was creating in the pan and the other half to the side.

"Yes, and you shall be wed when that day comes. Exciting isn't it?" Sebastian said, stirring the mixture. I looked down at my feet. Yes it is exciting, it's what I want...but he just seems so distant. If he doesn't wish to be wed I do not wish to push him into it. He probably doesn't even remember our first kiss, that is if I had the courage to ask him.

"Yes, quite exciting. He is my best friend after all." I lied, knowing Sebastian truly doesn't care about the situation. Sebastian wasn't one for emotion, sure he protects us but you could always tell that he didn't exactly love us. But I always pushed those thoughts away, given that Sebastian was one of the people that I considered a big part of my life.

"Well, that's all I needed. If you want to do more why don't you go ask Finnian if he needs help?" Sebastian stated, pouring the mixture into the crust. I always loved talking to Finnian, honestly, he's the only one I feel I can actually confide in.

"Very well, see you at dinner Sabby!" I said, with a huge bright smile. Sebastian waved me off and I made my way to the garden. On my way I stopped at Ciel's office to give him some strawberries I had taken whilst cooking with Sebastian. I always did that, whenever I cooked with him i'd steal a bit of the ingredients and i'd share it with Ciel. I haven't done that in a long while though. I knocked on the door, strawberries in hand.

"Yes, come in." Ciel said in his almost emotion less voice. That voice always made my heart drop, knowing that it was once filled with so much love. I opened the heavy doors and made my way into the vast room.

"I know I haven't done this in a while so..." I said excitingly, opening my hand to reveal the strawberries resting on my palm.  Ciel gave me the faintest of smiles and kicked his legs off his desk, walking up to me.

"Strawberries? How cute (Y/N)." He said, retrieving one from my hand. I rolled my eyes. Ever since we were little kids Ciel had always loved strawberries. We'd go out in the garden, sometimes even sneak out to pick them from the bushes. They always tasted better that way, plucked and ready.

"Well of course silly, our favorite!" I laughed, plopping a plump strawberry into my mouth. I closed my eyes at the sweet taste of it. I really miss doing things like this with Ciel.

"Oh, you got a little..." I noticed, pointing at the corner of his mouth.

"Here?" He asked, wiping at his cheek. I laughed at how normal Ciel looked right now, different from how he usually acts.

"No, right here silly." I said, wiping away the red juice from the corner of his mouth. Which I probably shouldn't have done cause there goes my heart beating one million times a minute again. Wait, is he blushing? No, it has to be the lighting...right? Ciel cleared his throat and straightened his bow tie.

"Thank you (Y/N), I have work to get back to." Ciel stated walking back to his desk. Work of course, always work.

"You're welcome." I said, leaving the room and heading to the garden. I needed to talk to Finnian more then ever.

A/N

Hey guys! I hope you liked the first chapter :3

Don't worry, Ciel won't be so uptight through the entire book, the book also won't be so boring cause let's face it, this one was kinda boring. First chapters always are, they exist to tell you a bit more about the characters ^-^

The next one will start with you talking to Finnian, so look out for that one! If you're followed to me or if you have this book in your library you should get a notification when it comes out, otherwise just keep checking the book.

OH! And in this book there will be no demons and angels and stuff, Sebastian is simply just emotionless. But, I was thinking about maybe having him fall in love later on, what do you guys think??
