Cylder's POV

I took one last glance at the hospital building as I was standing on the rooftop of an another, beneath me were the streets and the lights which flickered just now due to the night taking over the day and coating the skyline with darkness.

It wasn't that long when I beckoned Shadows to follow me, disappearing from the city like dust particles. Soon enough, it only took me a matter of minute until I dragged myself in the forest, with Shadows walking in front of me and making the dead leaves to create a sound of getting crash by his tiny paws.

Glancing around cautiously, I clenched my fist, eyeing at the surroundings. Those damn blood suckers had been around the mansion and causing a ruckus, especially now that the sun was nowhere to be found. Rotting corpses will always be present in the morning and we have no choice but to clean up their after mess. Just fucking great.

The gate of the mansion came to view as I quicken my pace with my hands stuff in my pockets. Just then, the atmosphere's temperature dropped, however I refused to bother and kept on striding towards the front gate. My hues still went to gaze at the corner of my eyes to be followed by my ears hearing a sudden gush of wind.Even without my vision from behind, the feeling of the molecules changing had been a great help at detecting the creature who was tailing my back,no other than the Vampire Empress herself.

Step after step,I was getting nearer at the front gate as I decided to spat on her behind me.

"You know, you and your people should learn to shit somewhere else and not in other people's surroundings.Where the fuck had you been in these goddamn following days?"

"I'm sorry. I had some things that need to be done on my plate." She replied quietly in her soft voice and landed next to me, which she then followed. She had a chestnut colored hair  that would go over her shoulders as her bangs hung to the side near her left eye and wore a black suit that covered her arms, the buttons were open just to show a maroon shirt she had under the suit.

I let out a sigh and pushed the gate open. Shadows came running towards the mansion as it was opened. Probably about to attack Caroline with his cuddles again. Looking around,it seemed to be the same state as it was before, except for those two loud idiots which can't be found.

"Well, this is new." I mumbled out, glancing back at Scarlet as she was still standing outside the gate.

Cocking an eyebrow at her, I made a confused face, wondering why she seemed to refused to take a step inside.

"Aren't you coming in?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Reasons."

"Whatever, we're paying the big fish a visit. If you want to tag along, then you have my privilege."

"I'll wait for you in here."

I gave her a nod and proceeded on my way towards the door, opening it only to be greeted by a girl with a long black hair in a double pigtails, wearing a dark pink shirt to be paired by a black jeans, my little sister,Caroline who was currently playing with Shadows. She giggled as she switched from one place to another as Shadows enthusiastically followed and attempting to match her speed.

"Heheh, come on! You can do better than that!" Caroline commented as she disappeared in her place and would pop up again into a different area. She must have failed to notice my presence since she seemed pretty occupied with Shadows.

Her moves were easy to read. Left on the couch, near the ceiling, the window. Pretty much the exact opposite where the creature stood, obviously to maintain a good distance between the two of them. I reached my hand out, just enough to estimate her next location. Within a few seconds, she appeared on the area where I suspected her to be, eventually grabbing her at the back of her shirt as she gasped in surprise and looked back at me with those magenta hues to see who was responsible for it.

She just gave me an apologetic smile, which I returned with an annoyed face and kept on holding her as if she was some sort of pet.

"If you wanna play, then do it outside. This is the 5th time."I said as I placed her down on the ground as Shadows went over and nuzzled it's head against the fabric of my pants.Omitting another sigh,I looked around the house for any signs of Axel.

"Sorry,I guess it's starting to get really lonely here since everybody seem to be busy.."She said and bent down to pick up Shadows, carrying the feline on her arms.Caroline curled up a small smile as she added."So,have you met her? Did she remember anything yet?"

Her questions made me want to bite my tongue for a moment, remembering the scene at the hospital.I slowly shook my head no as an answer,as a result, giving Caroline a disappointed look that replaced the light smile that wasn't visible now.

"No,not a single thing.Not even me."

"Oh."And from that, she kept herself from asking me further questions, knowing that it would only struck a few nostalgic past from before.Without another word,Caroline walked her way outside of the house and carrying Shadows with her,yet stopping her attempt as I shot her a question.

"Hey,is Axel home yet?"I asked and she made a halt, looking back at me with a nod.

"Yeah,he's at his room doing..well,his own thing."

"I see.Thanks."

Without futher ado,I went further into the hall and quickly located his room in a matter of seconds. Not even bothering for a knock,I turned the knob and opened the door as I made my way inside of his room.He was sitting and facing his computer yet again as his screen flashed a series amount of news about unexplained deaths, missing persons and such mysteries the human mind couldn't make sense about it.

Axel didn't bother to leave his gaze as I was given the continue view of his back, wearing that pitch black hoodie with some stripes of sky blue at the edges and his jet black  hair that had a puff to the slightest, instead the clacking sound of his fingers typing against his keyboard was the present sound available within the room. And a moment later,he began to speak.

"You know why doors are made? For knocking purposes just in case you miss the point of every door you run into. And the same thing goes for windows,Clyd."

I rolled my eyes and ignored his remarks, going towards him and grabbing a chair before settling myself next to him.Glancing at his screen,I noticed a small flickering glow located under the screen, indicating that he had received a new message.

Psychic boy must have been aware about the small interest I was giving upon that, resulting for him to close the windows and fixed his gaze through his cyan transparent shades on me with a hint of irritation from what he was trying to indicate at me,furthermore his midnight blue dye came into view.

"And doors are also used for privacy."

My stare transferred at Axel as I stood back up."Shut up.I know that you know why I'm here.Scarlet's waiting outside, she wanted to come alo-"

"I know that. You don't need to be explaining every single thing to me.I'll be there in just a minute, okay?"He cut me off mid sentence and replied,"Good.I'm glad you're still linear with us.And hurry up if you don't want me to drag you out by force."

After that,I left his room for his so called 'privacy' and dragged myself back into the hall of the mansion.
