FOX

2. The Hunt

September 28; 6.30 a.m.
Leo was sleeping in his bed when a phone call broke the silence of the room. Albert was calling. Leo attended the phone.
"Hello Albert" said Leo yawning.
"Hel..lo. Tom ...was ki...lled by FOX" said Albert with a shivering voice.
"What? How do you know?" asked Leo.
"The killer called me and said that he had killed the Hyena. He also told me that he is going to kill the elephant and the lion. I'm sure that he is referring us. What the hell are you doing?? When will you arrest that idiot??" shouted Albert.
"We are doing our best to arrest him. Don't worry" said Leo.
"Two murders in two days and those two are from our group. I think some old enemy of ours is taking revenge. We've to find out who that is. But we've a lot of enemies" said Albert.
"Don't stay in this town anymore. Get out of this town, I'll take care of it" assured Leo.
Leo informed about this matter to the police department. Leo called Jack and informed about this matter. Both Jack and Leo went to Tom's house to search for evidence. Tom's house was already covered with TV reporters. They managed to avoid them and entered the house. They saw Tom's dead body. Tom was badly stabbed with a knife and killed. Leo and Jack were not able to find out any clues. At evening, they decided to leave the spot. Leo's mind was full of fear, confusion and anger. He tried to calm down but he couldn't. He went to coffee shop to relax for some time. Leo was drinking a cup of coffee in the coffee shop when his phone rang

September 27 ; 11pm
Tom switched on the television to watch the NEWS. He was informed by Albert that his friend, Robert was killed. The news telecasted about the murder of Robert. Robert and Tom always worked together. They were smugglers who smuggle drugs, jewels, hardware, etc. They had contacts with many illegal trading groups. And now Robert had been killed by someone who called himself 'FOX'.
Suddenly, Tom heard a knock at the door. Tom looked at his watch. It showed 11.05 pm. "Who is knocking my door at this time??", Tom asked himself. "Who's that?" shouted Tom. "It's me, open the door" said the guy who knocked the door. Tom knew whose voice it was. The voice was one of his friend's. So Tom opened the door. The man who knocked the door was his friend but he was holding a knife in his hand. "Hey! Why are you carrying a knife?" asked Tom. "To kill you" said his friend. He punched Tom and kicked him. Tom fell down to the floor and his friend stabbed him in his chest.
At early morning, the killer called Albert and said "The FOX killed the Hyena. Only the elephant and the lion left." The killer threw the phone into a garbage bin in a street. Albert got frightened and he called Leo to inform about it. Leo was sleeping in his bed when the phone call broke the silence of the room.
