No matter what happened, it always remained the same. Gotham City is a crime ridden city, every corner there is a deal going down for girls, drugs or guns. The police try and contain the crime, but for every dealer they grab three more pop up. It's becoming more and more impossible to feel safe. That's when I looked up and saw something I didn't thing was real. There standing there was a hero, as if was a Black Knight...or rather a Dark Knight with his her cape fluttering in the wind and her alien friend.
The sun shone in the windows of the apartment, located in what would be called the upper east side of Gotham, into the eyes of Batwoman Kate Kane. She flinched and rolled over covering her head with a pillow.
"Good morning" a voice with a cheery sound, as Kara aka Powergirl walked in
"What time is it, Kara?" Kate groaned as she got up and ran a hand through her hair.
"10:32 am" Kara said as she set a paper down, the headline mentioning another crime happening in the city last night. Kate frowned at she and read the article. Kate picked up the coffee Kara was serving her. "It's getting worse"
"Isn't the norm for Gotham" Kara nodded "This time it's Penguin" Kara frowned
"Black Mask, Thorn, Maroni, Falcone, White rabbit" Kate frowned "Too many people are suffering because there is not enough good cops to deal with them"
"Oh by the way; Edward Nigma wanted to see you today. Something the about you know what" Kara said
"oh?" Kate asked curious
"Indeed" Kara nodded.
"Kate! Good to see you" Edward Nigma laughed as he shook hands with the Batwoman. "Thank you for coming today"
"You were?" Kate asked as she placed her hands in her pockets
"Indeed, I wanted to show some of the new ideas we have, of course there are some military applications" Edward said,
"Naturally" Kate chuckled.
"This here is the advance survival infantry suit. It contains several titanium plates under a layer of Kevlar padding with something called a kinetic absorption gel layer under the titanium plates. It was made with the ability to stop gunfire and knives from harming the wearer, then there are the joints which are made out of a reinforced fabric giving the wearer a fair range of movement while still being protective" Edward explained.
"Interesting" Kate muttered as she looked over it, a smile on Edward's face, he then handed her a pair of sunglass frames making her confused. "Put them on"
"Okay then, just don't make me look stupid" Kate said as she slipped them on, she was confused before the world turned dark blue while Edward's skeleton was showing, see Kate confused made Edward chuckle
"I figured you like this: Special Investigative Frames which the boys upstairs has called Detective Vision. Designed to help Crime Scene Investigators easily scan and collect evidence at a crime scene. It can pick up fingerprints, DNA, chemical residue, gun barrel rifling; you name it, it can give it to you" Edward said as Kate removed the frames
"I've intergrated them into your suit" Edward smiled
"Thank you Ed" Kate said, " Does Bruce know?"
Edward grumbled. "No, he's off with Pennyworth mostly, after what happened to matches and his run in with the Party Animals you think he would trust us more " Edward told Kate, hinting at something
"Oh?" Kate asked.
"Yes, Ms Kane" Edward said making her smile.
