I am currently sitting in the middle of a huge circle made up by both pack and pride holding Bex with Shane by my side. I'm actually kinda scared right now. They've been staring at us for about 10 mins and nothing has been said yet. Then what seems like forever my father asks me to explain what Bex had done earlier.
"Well um... Since she has dna from both a cat and wolf, which I think has never happened before, she is able to turn into both forms. I never knew this was possible but it happens and no one is taking her away from us." I say that last bit to the pack doctor who no one really trusts but he's the best we could find. Shane scoots over so he's sitting behind me and wraps his arms around me and Bex. Normally I would push him away but with all of the confused and a few suspicious looks I can us the comfort. Of course this also causes aw'a to come from many people of the crowd and knowing looks from my mother.
"Can we go back home now? I think it's time for Bex's nap." Shane says while smiling at said little girl. She pouts but nods while reaching for him. Wrapping her little arms around his neck while sitting on his back. Shane reaches down to help me up from the floor but doesn't let go of my hand. I never knew he had such big hands. I have a thing for guys with big hands too.(I do for real don't judge!) getting even more looks from mom we walk out hand-in-hand and make our way back to our house.

After putting Bex to bed, which took a whole half an hour, me and Shane flop on to the couch. It's silent for awhile when Shane quietly says,
"We should watch a movie. A scary one at that. Let's get popcorn and candy and stuff and after we can wake up Bex and build a fort then watch even more movies and then-" I cover his mouth with my hand. He rambles when he's nervous which I hate to admit is really cute.
"You just want to scare me into cuddling with you. Aren't you?" I raise and eyebrow at him. He doesn't do anything for a minute then nods while looking down. I smile while taking my hand off his mouth.
"I'll get the popcorn."
