Long ago, in my village, every generation will have at least five people whose name is cursed, five people who are demons and/or immortal, and five people who are both. Apparently, I'm one of the few that are both. They say they use them for protection, but they never told me because I was taken away before the upcoming ceremony of the recognization for the "gifted".
My parents were both immortals, and my dad had a cursed name. His name was Demonian Angelicia Hellonzaro. He always hated his middle name.
Anyways, getting back on subject, Amber was three years old when her parents took her to the mortal world. They didn't want everyone to know they had a cursed child. The ceremony was in ten weeks. Her parents snuck out at night when everyone was asleep.
Amber wondered if she would get caught. There were always guards walking around at night. Dark allies were their best priority in this case.
Amber's name means The Blessed and the Cursed but Filled with Hope. She liked her name until it got to the 'cursed' part. It was unique to her.
Amber loved her dad's name too. It meant A Demon and Angel in Hell. She was happy that she didn't have to suffer alone. When they reached the mortal world, Amber's parents put her on the orphanage steps. They told her that they will be back and find her. A few years later, Lily found her and adopted her. That's where we are now
