The party plan

A/N this chapter doesn't involve to much Sam, sorry! :( oh, and if you forget, smidgit is Sophia's nickname. Sorry the chapters so short! I'm on vacation so I don't have much time!

"My birthdays on Saturday." Sophia said at lunch the following day. I nodded and swallowed my gross school burger. "I know, I wish we could do something, but we have doctor appointments." I said sadly, gesturing to Sophie and I. "Same, I'm going skiing with family." Sayer said reluctantly. Sophia nodded and bit her lip. "I'm going to Rhode Island this weekend, sorry." Kylie added. Sophia nodded "awww that sucks." She said, biting into a piece of lettuce. "Totally." Sophie agreed. Then it hit. "Eeeee! I just got THE best idea ever!" I squealed "what?" Sayer asked. "Ummmm, sayer, Sophie, and Kylie, come hear, we need to talk about, ah, Sophia's present." I said, gesturing to follow me to the end of the table. They did and sophia looked at us confused. "What is it?" Kylie asked. I smiled. "Well, ya know, since it sucks we won't be around for smidgits birthday, and I feel bad. So wouldn't it be awesome of we through her a surprise birthday party!" I hissed in delight. There eyes lit up. "OMG, yes that would be awesome!" Sophie said. "Definitely." Kylie agreed. "But when?" Sayer asked. "Ummm, well, your going away for skiing Friday. Today is Tuesday, so how about Thursday after school?" I suggested. Sayer smiled and everyone nodded. "Cool, we can text details after school, 'kay?" I said, everyone nodded and we hurried back to our seats. "What were you guys talking about?" Sophia asked once we were in our seats again. I shrugged "nothin." Kylie said. We all snickered a laugh, sophia rolled her eyes.

"I couldn't stop thinking a bout the party all. Day!" Sayer said as we slid into our seats on the bus. I smiled "same, it will be awesome." I agreed "alright so I have a plan." Sophie said. Of course she would. "Hallie, you and Kylie are in charge of the guest list." She told me, I smiled and nodded. I wasn't happy with being paired with Kylie but I really wanted to do the guest list. "And sayer and I will be in charge of the budget for supplies and food." Sophie said. Sayer nodded "um, ok, but how much money do we each need to put towards the party?" Sayer asked. And we dove into the plan.

By Wednesday morning, everything was set. The guest list was: Colman, Olivia, Emily, Sara M., Sarah C., Sam F., Sam K., Mikey, Sophie, Hallie, Sayer, and Kylie.

So, now I'll tell you who these people actually are.

Colman: Olivia's currently ex boyfriend but they still like each other and will most likely get back together.

Olivia: Colman's ex girlfriend currently. You already know her.

Emily: a girl on our bus who sometimes has lunch with us and we are good friends.

Sara M.: she is also on our bus and are friends with.

Sarah C.: is a girl who is mostly friends with sayer and sophia and is on there team at school.

Sam F.: ugh, this is the Sam you already know about. Unfortunately, he is friends with sophia so was invited.

Sam K.: His last name is Katz so that's what I'll call him so you aren't getting the two SAMs mixed. Katz is also on sayer and Sophia's team and is Sarah C. Ex boyfriend.

Mikey: also on sayer and Sophia's team and is good friends with Colman and Katz and locker neighbors to sophia.

And then there's us. So in total, there should be 12 of us. Now all we have to do is hand out the invites and find a way to get sophia to pizzagando, the pizza place where the party with be held, without telling her it's a party. Simple, right?

"Helooooooo? Earth to Hallie?" Sayer said, shaking me out of my thoughts. "What?" I said, she laughed. "It's time to hand out the invitations." She said. "Oh." She nodded. "Ok, so Sophia's in the bathroom, lets do this fast." Sophie said that morning before school. "M'kay." Kylie said. "Hallie, you have to give Colman and Sam there cards." Sophie said, handing me two pieces of paper. "What?! Why do I have to give it to Sam!?" I whined, Sophie smiled. "Because he likes you." She replied. "Ugh! No he doesn't-" I began to protest but she just moved away to give sayer her cards. Groaning, I shuffled my feet towards Colman's table. I'll save the worst for last. I weever through the crowd to Colman's table and taped him on the shoulder. He looked up and smiled. "Um, here, it's for Sophia's surprise birthday party." I told him, shoving the paper into his hand. He read it over "cool, I'll be there." I smiled and waved "see ya there." And he returned to talking to one of his friends. Sighing, I realized Sams table was next and his table was the next one. Groaning I walked towards him. He smiled "twirp." He greeted me. I rolled my eyes "Bastard." I replied, he just glared at me. "Anyway, here." I said, thrusting the paper towards him, before he could react, the paper poked him in the eye. "Ow." He said, rubbing his eye as he began to read the paper. I just huffed and tapped my foot impatiently. Finally, I said "aren't you done yet?!" He just looked up and smiled "ya, along time ago, I just enjoyed watching you suffer." He replied, I glared at him, annoyed. "Whatever, are you coming or not?!" I replied. "Oh, um, I'm not sure if I can get a ride, but maybe." He said. I gave him a sarcastic smile "great." And with that I turned on my heel, before I could make a run for it, he grabbed my wrist. I turned around "hey, let go!" I said, he smiled. "Was this a personal invite from you to a party?" He asked, raising an eye brow. I grit my teeth "you wish." And I turned and speed away, his laugh fading in the background.
