(Unknown's POV)
I see as she heads toward the east side of the mall with that Jake guy. She seemed happy.
Not for long. I think in my head.
(Jake's POV)
As we walk to Hot Topic, I feel a set of eyes staring at me. I turn around but see no one. An unsettling feeling casts over me. I had been feeling that someone was watching me since Ash and I left the house and it's starting to creep me the fuck out.
"You okay?" I heard Zeri ask.
"...Yeah." I lied. I felt uneasy but didn't tell her since she'd probably worry about me.
We finally made it to Hot Topic and looked around.
She started looking at t-shirts until she found an Avenge Sevenfold shirt and bought it immediately. She bought some bracelets, a necklace, and the new Motionless In White CD. I had tried to pay for her but she was stubborn. I finally let her pay, but I'll give her the money back when I can.
We walked out of the store in silence. It wasn't an awkward one, but a nice one. Just enjoying each others presence.
I reach for her hand and we walk back to the food court where Kat and Ash waited for us.
They saw us holding hands and smiles spread on their faces. Kat ran up to Zeri and said she had to talk to her, then pulled her away from Ash and I.
"So did you finally manned up and asked her out?" he asked.
"No." I said and he groaned.
"Just do it! If you like the girl, tell her!" he ordered me.
"Ok, I'll do it." I said.
(Zeri's POV)
"He hasn't asked you yet?! Maybe he'll ask you out later? I'm SO sure he has a crush on you! He's head over heels for you!!" Kat all but yelled. It's a miracle that the guys didn't hear her.
"I don't know. Let's head back. I'm kinda hungry." I said, changing the topic.
Kat rolled her eyes but agreed. We then walked up to the guys.
Jake turned to me, looking nervous.
Um... Zeri. Can I... um... talk to you?" he stuttered.
"Sure." I said as we walked away from Kat and Ash.
"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked him.
(Jake's POV)
"So what did you want to talk about?" she asked.
I took a deep breath.
"Zeri, when I first met you, I fell for you. Hard. You were the most beutiful girl I ever saw and I knew I wanted to be with you, even if I couldn't admit it to myself at the time. I love everything about you. You're just perfect and I-" I was cut off by Zeri pressing her lips to mine. I was in shock but then kissed her back. I felt like I was high, like she was a drug.
We finally broke apart.
"I like you too Jake. I was kinda scared that you didn't feel the same so I kept quiet." she said, dropping her gaze to the floor. I pull her into a hug.
"Zeri, I know I haven't known you for a long time but, will you be my girlfriend?" I ask her hopefully.
She smiles. "Of course." she said. I smile back and lean in kissing her again.
