Sylvia POV
Love... never have I ever hated something so much as to fall in love with someone and go all gugu gaga over them. But unfortunately I have been trapped by someone by the name of Mark Hwang and by that I mean I've fallen in love with him.
It all started when I was in the coffee shop our school owned, it was the perfect rainy day where gym was canceled(YAS!) and all the other gyms are under constructions! Mark was on break talking to his friends and right when he past by my table where I was sitting with my friends, I looked up and saw his perfect beautiful face. I was awestruck and my eyes kept following him, then he glanced my way leaving me to blush and fall back on my chair.
"Uh...Syl? are you okay?" my friend Cindy asked.
"Huh? Oh I'm fine!" I said biting my lips.
"No you're not! You're hiding something, you always bite your lips when you're hiding something!" Mei exclaims.
She put her hands on my forehead and puts on her thinking face.
"Hmm, you're not sick... what could be the problem?"
"Nothing is wrong, okay..." I said pushing her hands off my forehead.
"Cindy do your thing," Mei told Cindy while folding her arms with a smirk on her face.
Cindy slammed her hand on the table and, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WOMAN!" she yelled at me.
Everyones attention (Including Mark!) faced towards me and I blush an even deeper red than before.
"What?! have you never seen a friend screaming into the others face or something?" Mei said like it was nothing, "look away, shoo, get back to your own business" she waves her hand at them as they awkwardly turn their heads around.
I face palmed at their actions and walked away from them. My face was bent down so I wasn't looking at where I was looking until...thud!
I landed on my butt.
"Ow..." I said rubbing my poor bottom.
"Are you okay?" the person who I bumped into asked handing his hand.
I took his hand not really noticing who he was.
"Yea... I'll be o-" I stop midway in my sentence noticing the person in front of me was him!
"Uh... I gotta run!" I told him running away... far, far away... I actually just ran to the rooftop where I'm usually at in our break time.
It looked like the rain stopped so I sat in a conner and hugged my knees and lowered my head.
"Why..." I asked no one in particular, "why does it have to be now?! why does it have to be me?!" I screamed clenching my heart and little drops of tears leaving my eyes.
"Um...are you okay?" a person in front of me asked.
I looked up and saw a good looking guy and he was wearing the junior uniform but it didn't really match to the dress code book on "how to wear your uniform".
"I'm fine..." I told him getting up and dusting off anything from my gym pants, it was also kinda wet from the rain earlier.
"Okay," he said taking a bite from his sandwich.
I must have looked hungry 'cause right after he brought up another one and asked, "want this one?"
I hesitated- wait I don't hesitated over food!
"Sure thanks!" I beamed taking the sandwich right off his hand.
He hands me his juice and I casually take it and slurp the whole thing down. After eating half of his lunch (I couldn't help myself! the guy was being so generous!) I thank him for the wonderful meal and prepare to head out until i remembered something.
"Hey what's your name?" I asked him.
"He looked at me and replied,"Jay, Jay Cheng,"
"Wait, you're Jay Cheng?! but your so... I mean you were so nice!"
Jay Cheng is known as the school's bad boy, selfish, cruel and always getting into fights, although he always gets away with it because his father, Arnel Cheng, is close friends with the principal. He only listens to one person and he was...Mark Hwang, the principal's youngest son.
He looked a little hurt then brought up his phone and snap!
He took a picture of me, my ugly, red, swollen face...
"Oh I just used you"
Jay POV
I fake snapped a picture of her.
"Oh I just used you," I lied.
I didn't want her to be talking about me, ruining my image and spreading out my weakness so I had to do the only thing I could, be a backstabbing jerk like everyone else labels me.
She looked hurt, even more when I saw her, crying in a conner. All I wanted to do was to cheer her up, whatever her problem was. But now... I just made it worse.
"Oh..." she simply said looking down, "that's okay, I don't know if you'll have to use it anyways, I mean I always embarrass myself!" she chuckles lifting her head again with a smile, the sad look on her face no where to be found.
"Wait, aren't you mad, or at least disappointed?" I asked her quite confused.
"No of course not! Consider it... my payment for your kind offer of food," she smiles taking my hand and forcefully shaking it.
Well this is weird.
"You know, I wonder why people say you're such a bad ass jerk! I mean, you offered me food! A person who offers free food can't be so bad right?" she pats me on the shoulder then runs off.
"But wait I-" before I could finish my sentence she was already exiting the door but I fortunately caught a look at her name tag at the back of her gym shirt.
it had in big bold words... "AIMOAD :)" With a smiley face next to it.
Sylvia Aimoad? Daughter of that fisherman guy?
