I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm beeping. I could hear my Mom downstairs cooking breakfast. I stepped out of me bed walked into the bathroom and brushed my pearl white teeth. I got my phone and headed downstairs. I pulled my carrot orange hair up to a ponytail while heading downstairs.

When my mom said."I talked to your Aunt about what Owen wanted for his birthday and he said he wanted to spend a couple days at our cottage with some friends and you."

"Whats wrong with that, some cousin to cousin quality time with friends."

"I know your dad told me that it was my choice to choose if you guys were going to go or not. I don't like the whole idea about teenagers partying. So I don't think I want you guys to go. Plus, Keria your 16 and his turning 18 tomorrow."

"Mom am turning 17 a week after his birthday and Mom no parent likes the idea of their teenagers going and partying in the woods but his turning 18 Mom, the big number in life. Soon he'll be out of this town. And I just want to make it count.Please." I asked begging with my hands.

"Okay. Fine but under 3 conditions number one is no drinking alcohol."

"What it's not like were going to- "

"Keira, remember that time at Halloween when you came home drunk!" she exclaimed" You fell down the stairs!" she added.

"Okay that was a one-time thing and I promised I wouldn't do it again and I didn't." I continued.

"The 2 condition is you have to bring Scarlett."

"Mom Scarlett is a drama, queen."

"The third condition is you guys can only bring 2 friends the 3 of you only."

"Okay, fine I'll text Owen the 'conditions'," I said emphasizing and hand quoting with my hands the word condition. I texted him the conditions which he seemed pretty mad about and I called my Dad that Mom said yes.

So there we were Annese my best friend, Ashton my boyfriend, and I waiting in front of my door waiting for my cousin to arrive. The weather outside was freezing cold. After a couple, of minutes of almost freezing to death he arrived. We put our bags in his trunk and entered the small Kia soul car. Putting our seat belts on and driving off.

"I'm only going to be at the cottage for like 3 days then my friends and I are leaving because we have to go pack our stuff for college."Owen said.

"You leaving earlier than I expected. I can't believe your actually leaving."I said in sympathy.

"I know me too. It almost seems unreal but don't worry it's not like am going to forget you."

"You might." I said.

"I will never forget you. You're like the only crazy Keira. I know with orange hair and green eyes."

"That's true. You can't replace me."I smiled.

Soon we arrived at the cottage and everybody was already there.  Owens best friends and Scarlett's best friends. They were all inside the living room I quickly grabbed my bags and opened the door for Ashton and said "Fleas before beauty."  He grabbed me by the waist and kissed me.

When Owen said"You guys can do that when I'm far gone." 

"So that's very very soon." he said smirking at me still holding my waist.

"Very." I Smiled looking at his ocean blue eyes. 

Taking him and Annese to my room. I set my bags on top of my drawer. While Ashton set his bag on top of my chair.  When he came up to me and started kissing me.

When Annese said." Who's extra small little brown sweater is this?" I quickly rushed over and noticed it was Logans.

"Logan's." I said in astonishment.

"Who's that?"Annese asked.

"A boy I met in the woods when I was 8. "

"I'll be in the living room if you need me." Interrupted Ashton.

"Okay." I said. Then leaving me and Annese alone In my room.

"So who's this Logan boy? Does he live around here?" She asked while I grabbed the sweater.

" I don't know he disappeared the first day I found him in the woods."

"So how does this Logan guy look like?" She asked.

"He has gray eyes and brown hair."I said remembering as if me and him sat next to the campfire like it was yesterday.

"He sounds like a hottie." She said she smiled.

"Yeah, but that was years ago who knows what he might look like today." I faked a smile. When I heard everybody cheering. I took a peek out my door and saw them play spin the bottle. Also, they were drinking alcohol.

"A," I called  Annese which was her nickname.

"Yes bae?" she said looking away from her phone towards me.

"Can you stay with me inside her for like a couple hours because their drinking and since we weren't suppose to. I don't want to sound like a bitch telling them they can't drink."

"If you have food for the next couple hours."

"Why would I not?" I said in a sarcastic voice. Pulling out marshmallow bags and chocolate candy from my bag.

"You don't know how much I love you right know Keira." She said grabbing a chocolate bar and a Marshmellow bag. 

A and I sat there for hours eating marshmallows and chocolate when in the living it started to get intense people were screaming, 'do it!'. A and I took a peek and Scarlett and Ashton were kissing the longer they kissed the closer they got to Scarlett's bedroom until next thing you know the door was shut and locked. I quickly grab my pitch black coat open my window and grab my phone. Heading into the woods while Annaese screams at me to come back from the window.

When I scream back" I'm just going to take a quick walk don't worry. I'll be back." I said holding in the tears. But A comes running after putting on her sweater.

And says."Then am coming with you." she said putting her arm around my shoulders as I rested my head on her shoulder. Then we both silently headed deep into the woods. As she waited for me to talk.
