You Showed Up Just In Time (Talvin)

Calvin- Part 12

Calvins P.O.V-
( 1 hour before party)
Before the party me and my best friends were hanging out and talking. We had a few drinks and talked about how fun the party was gonna be. I was so stoked. I couldn't get my mind off of the girl Ellie was setting me up with. Taylor was her name and I couldn't believe that I was actually going to be set up with her. She's a beautiful and extremely talented woman but I just didn't think she was my type. I was interrupted from my thoughts when my friend blurted out "So you and Taylor?!" I replied and said "Yeah I guess. Ellie set me up with her. I don't know if she's my type but she is gorgeous.". All my friends just started at me. One of my friends yelled out and said "Dude it's Taylor Swift we are talking about here. Who cares if she's your type she's like the most famous woman alive right now and she's really hot." My buds were being really rude and annoying. Sometimes I really hated them. "You guys I am not gonna be with her unless I feel something. I'll find out if it will work out tonight when we meet" I said. They shut up and I was glad.

When it was time to leave to the party I was super pumped up. I love to DJ. My friends and I got a fancy rental car and drove off to the building the party was being held in. When we walked in to the party room we were the first ones there. I immediately ran up to the DJ booth. I began to play and the lights slowly dimmed and different colored flashing lights very suddenly appeared. I knew people would be showing up soon so I played the best songs I could. I was so lost in the music I hardly noticed people began to show up. Soon the whole place was packed.

I stopped playing for a few minutes because Ellie told me Taylor would be arriving soon and she didn't want me to miss it. I took a sip of my water bottle and there was a tap on my shoulder. Was it Taylor I thought? I turned around. It was Ellie and she had the biggest grin on her face. "Hey Calvin!" Ellie said. "Hey" I replied back. "I'm so excited you get to meet Taylor. She's great. How have you been?" She said. I smiled and responded "I've been good and yeah I'm sure it will be exciting meeting Taylor. I hope it works out." She rolled her eyes and the music was so loud she basically screamed "OH IT WILL WORK OUT." I laughed a little.

I was looking around checking out all the people at the party when my heart stopped and I found myself with locked eyes on one girl. It was Taylor. She walked in with her head up high and she walked like she owned the place but she still looked casual and adorable. She had a guy with her but I couldn't tell who and I really didn't care. All I cared about was how stunning Taylor looked. Her dress was beautiful and her body was also perfect. Her legs looked amazing and her makeup was flawless as well. How could she be that perfect? I thought. Dang I didn't know what to do next.
